Promote Kupchak (West's former protege) and promote Ryan West to GM. This should entice Jerry West to come back a consultant.

Yeah, West was 'intrigued' until that time when Jeanie threw his Protege Mitch under the buss for her own failings... Then he forgot how to answer the phone.

Jerry West should have never in a million years been allowed to leave. Magic is head and shoulders the best Laker player ever, but West, if you include post playing career, is more "Mr. Laker" than even Jerry Buss.

He's the "reason for the season"; the primary reason the Lakers are "The Lakers".

Bring him back at any cost.
