Mitch is a great guy...no doubt...
But how as a GM do you surrender every first round pick for the last 2 years and the next 3 years as well...we've been lucky that we have placed in top 3 to be able to keep them...but just a lousy job with trade for Nash in seeing the short term instead of a long term
He can't attract a top free agent to come to LA either...
In my opinion, bad free agent acquisitions with Mosgov and Deng..I can't believe that the first call was to Mosgov...did he even look at his track record with nuggets, knicks and cavs? Did he not count how old Deng will be once contract is over?
This guy simply can't evaluate talent and he's been riding the Kobe bryant train and getting by...now that he has to build a team on his own, he is paired with Jim Buss that didn't even play a lick of professional basketball in his life..and I doubt if he even played high school
What a great tandem we have in evaluating basketball players

Mitch will be let go as soon as the season wraps up, that's all but confirmed at this point. He has failed the Lakers program for the past few summers with letting Kent Bazemore walk for Nick Young, focusing on Carmelo and Dwight, and by giving millions of dollars to washed up vets in Mozgov and Deng. While we can't place all the blame on Mitch, some of it has to go to Jim as well.
Mitch is stuck in the old era of NBA basketball. He's made some alright decisions here and there. The Steve Nash trade seemed ideal at first, but quickly backfired. He's done a great job of respecting the Lakers name and NBA, I'll give him that as well. But his time has come, along with Jim and our new savior in Ryan and Jerry West will soon save our franchise from becoming the Magic of the West.
Bottom Line : Mitch and Jim both have less than 3 months left.

Yeah, we must be discussing this on just about every thread right now. We really don't need another one.
