The favorites lost early (Klay Thompson and Aaron Gordon) and this Saturday night all-star event is average at best, but I have to admit that there are pretty exciting moments but not enough to make this event superb.

1. The skills challenge battle between Porzingis and Jokic had an exciting ending. Could have been more dramatic if Jokic's shot made it first. Jokic shot it from about 35 feet away but Porzingis' second three-point attempt made it first to the hoop. Porzingis eventually went all the way to win the skills challenge by beating Gordon Hayward. Bigs win it again 2 years in a row.

2. An extra round was needed in the three ponit shootout after Eric Gordon missed his last shot in the final round to beat Kyrie Irving. Gordon eventually win it but the final scores are quite low. Swaggy P almost made it to the final round (1 point short to atleast tie Kemba Walker's score). What really gave me goosebumps is the 3 point shooting for Sage Strong Foundation. For a while I thought I'll get to see Reggie Miller shoot threes for a minute but when everybody else went to the court to shoot I was touched. Could have been better if Steph Curry was able to drain a shot from half-court.

3. I watched to see Aaron Gordon dunk but it's quite disappointing that he never made it to the final round. Glenn Robinson deserves the W though.

This is a night for the underdogs I suppose, that the favorites never had the chance to make it to the final round. I can't even remember if there is a a single participant from the 3 point shootout who managed to have a perfect rack. Hey, even Steph can't make a basket. Tough night.

dunk contest:
eliminate or limit the scale of props. add a 5th competitor. compensate for some skilled players.

3-pt contest:
nothing much can change, indifferent on the money ball rack, wish someone would step up and win it a few years in a row to set a tone.

skills challenge:
bigs vs smalls is a good idea. add some technicality to the course be it dribbling two balls, bounce passes, between the legs or other skilled dribbling. they have great talent turn out for this event somehow.

all star night intro:
the story was cool and the roots were great. best music of the weekend.

This all star game is unwatchable

No one is trying on defense at all.
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

Proceeds to finish 7th and shames the entire nation!

There's usually at least 5 minutes of competitiveness in the all star game. This year there was zero. Disappointing all star weekend, not surprised since we were spoiled last year.

Just watched the last 8 min of the game. No one in the mid and upper levels. They tried to shut the lights off and keep the camera angles from seeing it but it looked like a WNBA games crowd.

Really bad game and nothing but ally-oops and 3 pointers.
