Russell step back jump shot

Post#1 » by B-Scott » Sun Apr 9, 2017 1:10 am

In the Memphis game he made a James Harden like step back jumper towards the end of the game. If he can master that shot with consistency.... this kid will be an All Star. He's getting better driving to the rim. The step back jumper is a shot i think he can master. Hopefully he shoots 1,000 shots per day during the summer

I'm in love with those James Harden step-backs and am glad Russell is adding that into his arsenal. It's so smooth, yet effective and seems to be much more illusive than a regular step-back. Actually, I've just started practicing those said step-backs and it's definitely different/harder for me lol, especially going towards my shooting arm. Harden makes it look so sexy and along with DLO, I've seen a couple of NBA players trying to master it. I'm with you though, he can make that a go-to in his arsenal.

Yep. He just needs to keep working in it. It sets up his drives to the basket
