Like Miles said -- I thought Deng and others were out of shape all year. Deng himself mentioned in an interview a few weeks ago that he came into the camp in the best shape of his life. I laughed.

I think he was great for the young guys as far as making them excited to come into work, but not sure how productive and sustainable it was throughout the season. That article about Pat Riley will be what Magic Johnson is about going forward I would assume. You can bet your ass that Magic has spoken with Riley about this.

This must have been "The Culture of Complacency" we've heard so much about.

I knew the assistant strength coach was the problem all along.

This was an excellent fire....I said years ago on this board that he was the reason for all the injuries we were going through. He wasn't supplying the guys with the right things to keep their muscles strong. And as a trainer in charge of strength and conditioning, he should have been nervous the minute Magic and Rob said they wanted the players in better condition for next season.

Now Magic or Rob needs to hire Tim Glover ( MJ and Kobe's old trainer) or pry Chip Schaffer out of Sacramento.

I would also like to see us bring on a defensive co-ordinator. It's unfortunate they're not touching Luke's staff at all.
