Re: Losing The Pick ... What Next?
Honestly, I'd hope that we can sign some good defensive guards, and I'd take a sip of whatever koolaid Ringsdontlie has been chugging, and convince myself that Brandon Ingram is the future GOAT.

Re: Losing The Pick ... What Next?
I assume we'll lose the pick anyways..
-Trade Mozgov and Deng without losing Ingram/Russell.
-Don't offer Randle rookie extension if we don't trade him
-FOR THE 2ND SUMMER IN A ROW, DO NOT SIGN ANYONE TO A DEAL LONGER THAN 1 YEAR. DONT DO IT
That's all I'm concerned about if we lose the pick. Just lose those cancer contracts while giving up the kids (minus Russell/Ingram). Open up 60+ million in cap space this summer and use it wisely on role players on one year deals. Do that and we have cap space for Cousins, PG , and role players in 2018.
We're not making the playoffs next year, we're not trading for PG, we're not signing any big time free agents this summer. You should all know this by now..

I hate that the headline says Magic says we keep pick. He said it joking, however the league may be upset by it and we may get pushed out.
So your saying that the lottery is fixed. It may, or may not, have been fixed in favor of the Lakers prior to Magic's "joke" but now you worry it is rigged against LAL because of said joke.
I don't know if the lottery is fixed, I'm just saying that kind of joke could hurt the Lakers IF it is fixed. I think it might have been fixed when Stern was around. I'm hoping for #1 for karma after the nixed CP3 trade because the league should have never owned a team and stated publicly the GM could make all trades. It would have been one thing if LO and Pau came back and played but it really destroyed the relationship with our 2nd and 3rd best players and we haven't recovered since Dec 2011.
We are due. Lets hope it works out! GO LAKESHOW!!!

We would had another $34 million dollars freed up in 2018 if we didn't give out those contracts out.

Does the losing the pick effect your offer for George?
What does your lineup look like next year without the pick?
Is it the sign of an apocalypse?
My plan B:
A) I'm gonna drink extra that night....no doubt.
B) I'm gonna hit the tank threads with a bunch of profanity-filled "I fu**king told you so" posts.
I don't know what Magic and Rob have planned.....but that's my story.

1) trade Mozgov and 2019 CHI 2nd round pick... get B.Knight...
2) trade Randle for 2018 1st round pick...
3) Sign R.Bullock (or Justin Holiday) and resign Ennis...
4) Tank and get 2018 1st pick...
Zubac/Black
Deng/Nance
Ingram/Bullock
Russell/Clarkson
Knight/Ennis

Yepp. That is why Mitch and Jim were fired. Now we must give up our assets for free in order to get rid of the contracts. Will rob do it? I don't know. Magic won't I imagine.

You say this as if nobody watches professional wrestling. It's more popular than it's ever been, and I grew up watching Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold, The Rock, etc.

Not at all. If you notice they do not ever say it's "real" or not scripted. They go to lengths to not say that actually. It is what it is... entertainment.
The NBA is a competitive sport. Pro Wrestling is entertainment. Difference is subtle and apparently missed by some.

Awww how did i miss this thread?
A) Cry like a bitch and cursing Cupcake for making the stupid ass trade for worthless Old Man Nash, i'll curse Jimmy to for measure, hell i'm cursing the entire Buss family for not stopping Cupcake and not making him put on more protections
B) Get drunk as ****
C) Cry some more after i sober up, realizing we ALSO lose our 2019 1st round pick unprotected to ORL
D) Go hard for Blake Griffin and trade Randle+Clarkson+HOU 1st+Cash for PG13. Basically dont change the plan, no matter what happens the team needs to control its own destiny and just get better. Losing our 2017 AND 2019 picks mean we're screwed in that regard. Might as well treadmill as a mid seed and wait for GSW/CLE to age out.

Well all those trades were trying to win Kobe one more ring so this was all for him.
