Bummer!!

I was hoping Sacramento would go after Otto/Vincent and leave Hill to us. I really like how Sacramento is setting up their team right now. As for us, our options:

- no on Rose!! Ball stopper, cannot shoot the 3 and not right for us.
- I think it best for both Lakers and Young to move on.

Now the best options would be Rondo/Waiters. One guy who is not linked to the Lakers is CJ Miles. I would prefer Miles and Waiters on 1 year bigger deals for 9/8 million each.

Not Yo Ham Lakers!

He's talking about the legendary Uncle Swaggy P.

I'd say there are no great or even good options left out there.

Waiters
Afflalo
Evans
Rondo
D-Rose
Jamal Crawford (If bought out)

At this point we should go for the one that will offer us the highest ceiling next year because all of their floors are about the same.

So "cap space" has costed us D'Angelo Russell and George Hill. Ugh. A 2 year deal for Sacramento with a partial guarantee for a third year.

Consider me very sceptical of this plan.

I wonder if CJ Miles would accept a 1 year, 15 Million offer. I'd offer that. Outside of him and Thabo Sefolosha, I don't think there's any guys out there I'd want.

Issue is we need a guy that can play off guard. I think that pretty much takes Rhondo/Rose out of the equation unless they want to come off the bench, which is doubtful. Rose aint signing a one year deal I gather. Rhondo might be open to it maybe for the right price. Rhondo / Waiters makes sense. I can see Rhondo having an impact off the bench and winning games. We can definitely use Waiters offense. I would probably start him, and then have Clarkson off the bench.

Hmm... Just a thought, but I thought his desire to sign a one year deal had to do with PG and maybe LeBron teaming up... So I wonder what it means that he's willing to sign a 3yr deal? Nothing maybe, but I thought a lot of guys would be leaving their options open for next season... Now, I'm not too sure.

Is it just the GSW "Keeping the Band Together" effect? Maybe guys figure it's a long shot even a PG/LeBron team can knock them off.

As time goes by and the best guy lining up to sign a 1yr deal with the Lakers is Jamal Crawford, it sort of makes me wonder if there's anything to the LeBron, Westbrook, PG pipe dream after-all...
I mean, I'm still on the bandwagon, but this off season, feels pretty much identical to the last several off seasons, so far.

This is what I've been saying. Let's not get all our hopes in lebron and all about next year. If there is a big fish right now. Let's get it done.

Man, I'm not feeling this offseason. That said we're all in at this point. Magic and Pelinka HAVE to come through next season. And not just PG, they HAVE to land a second max guy.

so much for that. If we can't bring in people i'm sorry, we're not getting anyone next year. We haven't brought in anyone. We're getting linked with Russell Sr (Waiters) and Jamal Crawford (who is like Nick Young on his bad day).

Lost out on McLemore to Memphis ffs and now we're left with scraps, this F.O is as useless as the last one at F.A by the looks of things.

This is why it made no sense to trade Russell. we have no 3 point shooters. we traded our best three point shooter. and now we are talking about CJ Miles. I played fantasy basketball last year. and CJ Miles was a guy that one night he'd give you 25 and then the other night he would give you 5. he's very inconsistent. he's a good shooter but not good enough to be a starter. Indiana would have him in and out of the lineup. Those guys don't need to be anywhere near the Lakers.

The funny thing is right now. the guy that makes the most sense is Nicky Young. if the Warriors sign Crawford who's played there before. I see us giving Nick Young a one year deal.

Lebron James is about him playing with Melo. both our free agents. and I think Lebron wants to play with his boy Carmelo for the rest of his career. so if you sign Lebron Melo is part of the package deal. that's just the way it is. I think if Melo goes to Cleveland he goes there to play with Lebron and one year those two decide where they want to go. Chris Paul can be a part of that. But I think Lebron wants to play with Melo and if he goes to L.A. I can see him saying he'll play with Ball over Paul. Lebron wants to win a championship and his best shot at that is with a 6,6 ball who's longer and more athletic then Paul and Paul is not the same player he was with mileage on him.

So if Lebron has Ball and Ingram that's appealing to him. I also think Lopez is appealing simple reason is he's a stretch five center that can shoot three's.

Lebron needs some length to defend Durant. as for Jamal Crawford I think he makes sense the dude would be here on a One year deal. he knows how to play off of guys and if there is a guy who knows where his spot is to score on the court it's Jamal and he's a great locker room guy.

Couple things about Jamal Crawford.

I like this signing a lot for the Lakers. he's a guy who's played with a great Point guard before in Chris Paul. there's a lot he can teach Lonzo Ball. there's stuff he's learned from Paul. he can tell him places where to be on the floor. he knows how to play with a lead guard. also he knows where his great spots are on the floor to score the ball. he's great off of catch and shoot. he has some of the best handles in the league. he can handle the ball bring the ball up the court.

The reason I like this signing better then George hill is Jamal Crawford knows his role. he's not a Lead guard. he's a two guard. he's not trying to run the team. he knows it's lonzo's team. he's going to score and get the ball to others. his spacing is going to open up the floor. and he's there for one year. there's no George Hill who will think he's the starter and get most of the minutes at point guard. and want to be the lead guard.

I think George Hill was just leverage to get others teams to pay him more he basically got what Teague got. and now he got his contract. he was never interested in the one year deal. but he puts it out he's meeting with the Lakers and teams start trying to get the meetings with him and get him signed.

So it's simple as this. Magic and Rob Traded Russell They have to get Two Superstars and Bring Lopez back to make the fans say props. Maybe they got a promise from a free agent. Laker fans are going to expect superstar signings cause they are the ones that put it out there. This seems like this is what teams are doing going after superstars so let's see if our Lakers do that and are able to land superstars. Danny Ainge is getting his superstars and still keeping his core together. The funny thing is the Warriors developed their core and signed a superstar who actually wanted to play for them and saw how great their team played together. they still kept Curry Klay and Draymond all drafted by the Warriors.

Damn. Gonna be a long wait for Paul George to get here.

Right.. it's hard to sell a one year deal to an ageing player coming off a career high season... It needs to be the contrary.. need to find a player who is normally good but for some reason had a bad contract year and now needs to rehab their stock level a bit..

The well is going dry around here! Can't believe players want to actually, you know, play for the freaking Kings. Not only did they just poach George Hill from us, but also Zack Randolph from his beloved Grizzlies atmosphere. That's crazy to me. How--just how?! Now we're back to Dion Waiters and Rondo...I think I might puke if we actually sign one of them. I'd much rather have Crawford but the Hawks gotta buy him out first. Celtics finally pulled off a move today, so we still got time. But slim pickings await!

I get what you're saying bro but I've seen Jamal play and I don't want him on the Lakers. Same with Rondo. I agree with you and honestly think Nick Young is the best option. Last season he's proven to be a very good contributor who can plays within the offense (catch and shoot or one dribble pull ups) and was clearly our best shooter. He even brought it somewhat defensively. Just a 1 year deal which should keep him motivated for his next contract :dontknow:
