Drafting Dlo with Porzingis or even Booker out there was the biggest mistake in Lakers history.. How our previous regime thought a slow, unathletic, volume shoot first pg was worthy of a number 2 selection is beyond me... Say what you guys want but that Dlo mis-draft set our rebuild back by three years... Mitch/Jim flat out blew it... They just witnessed Steph win a ring up north and figured that they needed to get their own three pt chucking guard.. But they failed miserably at the vetting process..
I mean , the first obvious thing that sticks out when you see DLo on the court is that he plays at about two notches slower than everyone else... Even in transitions he's moving significantly slower than everyone.. which is not something you want from your pg.. you want then pushing the tempo and leading the break not causing everyone to slow down and wait for him to catch up.. I've never seen a young pg before that was as slow as him..I believe even a 36 yo Fisher was faster than him..
Glad he's off the team and behind us now.. Moving him was like eating our vegetables.. By trading Dlo, we were able to lump two mistakes (Dlo and Moz) into one package in hopes to right one of them by getting our cap space back from the Moz deal..
Dlo was too bad of a player to be garnering this much sympathy and pitty threads... Dont know why everyone around here is acting like we just traded an all star.. Dlo was a terrible volume scorer who shot 40% from the field.. which actually went Down compared to his rookie year of 41%.. Then you factor in a pedestrian 35% three pt shot, high turnover rate and Zero quickness, athletic ability... I just don't get why people are not thanking the Stars that the Dlo experiment is over.. we should have traded him last year tbh while we still could have netted a decent haul for him.. either way.. it's a net positive moving him.. and we get to dump Moz contract.. all in all.. a necessary move that will be better for us next year.. once we sign two free agents next year people will look back at this move differently.. for now.. getting rid of Dlo and clearing cap space is like eating our vegetables... Might leave a bad taste in some people's mouths.. but they know deep down it's for the best..

if we got porzingis we win enough games not to get the #2 pick (and possibly not even keep our pick) - we wouldn't have Ball, so not so sure drafting DLO set us back 3 years..lol
