One the best part about the game last night was not seeing Clarkson down the stretch. Undoubtedly he would've tried to play hero ball. He reminds me of Chucky Atkins..."I just want to shoot man".

2 rookies played with the game on the line. Last lineup change was at 1:35 minute mark when Brewer replaced Clarkson.

Randle was pulled after making another foul at 9:24 minute mark and didnt return to the game. Randle played 13 minutes in the game and none in the most crucial 9+ minutes of the 4th quarter with only 3 fouls to his name. Luke and Magic are not having any of Randle's nonsense this season. Clarkson better start playing wiser team ball too especially when KCP returns or we might have one or two trades sooner than later.

Lastly, Ennis didnt enter the game until 3rd quarter with 1:08 left to go to give Ball a rest. Ennis might be the 3rd string PG right now behind 2-way player Caruso.

Just watching the game on replay now and I had to pause to vent.

Beginning late first to early 2nd quarter, Randle made a boneheaded play for everytime he touched the ball and we coughed up a lead thanks to an irrational 3 point air ball by Clarkson. At one point Luke pulled Randle out to chew him out for an early clock jumper and the moron comes back only to continue being a blackhole. Its beyond infuriating to watch especially when both of them were getting great looks in the confines of the offense without having to look for their own.

I really can't wait to get rid of those two, its addition by subtraction. Let someone else pay that mopey sack of ****.

I was at the game. The play you describe was very interesting. Clarkson came up to get the ball behind a Bogut pick and was looking in the corner when Luke and Madsen started yelling "shoot it" when they saw he had space. His feet weren't set and he coughed up an awkward air ball. Madsen was telling him it's OK and stay aggressive.

They were yelling at Randle all night to "pitch and go" meaning pass and move.

Only the second game I've been to under Luke and the first one he said basically nothing the entire game in DC. Last night he was vocal to Clarkson quite a bit to stay aggressive. He was also yelling at Lopez to shoot several times as well. My impression was that he was seeing overpassing by the better scorers to ones that have a more difficult time scoring. To me that's a great sign. Passing is only good if the right guys end up getting the right shots.

Randle's head is messed up when Larry Jr. was the coach's choice to start. Heck.....this is his contract year !!!

But no doubt in my mind, Julius is a goner....... Clarkson did not pout..... he played very well when he was told he will be coming off the bench.

But in my opinion, Larry Jr. is way more versatile than Julius. He is very active, he actually compliments Lonzo much much better. He plays with lots of energy.

Oh, I agree 100%. Bad shot. Just a different perspective when you hear the coaches. Clarkson has his value but only if he plays smart. I thought he gave us decent minutes last night. Randle OTOH... his game doesn't support a lot of what we want to do. He struggles in the post and struggles from outside. About the only positive is that he is getting to the line and putting pressure on the defense whether in the flow or not.

The first two games have been a stark contrast from each other with the PHO game being a free flowing ball movement running offensive style.
That may be the way the young guns will really be able to show their talents and get acclimated to the NBA game.

That was a fun game for the neutral but clearly neither team are very good.

Near triple double for Lonzo is nice though, its weird that he's averaging 10RPG thus far though better rebounder than Brook Lopez. He shouldn't go hero mode though, he needs to realise he isn't a volume scorer, he's never going to be a #1 so under no circumstances should he be taking nearly 30 shots a game. #1 is to pass the ball and rack up the assists, i'd say he should only be really going for the shot if its better than the passing option. I blame Walton for that in all honesty, Walton should have had a talk to him. I mean he got nearly 45% of his shots but still, 27 shots is an insane amount.

did you carefully watch the game? they stayed home on the shooters he parts the sea, bledso goes under the screen he shots, bledso turns his head he blows by tyson.

yeah not exactly a demonstration of defensive ability from both sides lets be honest (both wouldn't have gotten to 130).

Both are probably the worst and second worse defensive side in the league.

Ball carried this team and he was the reason we won, apart from the Suns being horrible. What a bounce back game by Lonzo! I hope he keeps it up next game. Defensively, the team has to improve A LOT. Having Bogut on the court will make it easier to defend better.

Work buddy told me about Lonzo's comeback so to speak after the disappointing debut. Watching PHX/LAL courtesy of LeaguePass free preview. Hell yeah! Ingram looks aggressive in this one. Granted, Phoenix isn't defensively sound (hence Coach Watson being gone now), but they look a lot better already! *breathes sigh of relief* Lonzo gonna be alright.
