^ i swear to god, that is not the same dude that we had here in NJ/BKN. he looks like he's been getting high or something.

seriously, i'm not kidding.

I don't know, but I think this all started to go south that first game against Embiid... After that, he hasn't looked the same.

Not sure if it's confidence or if something else is wrong with him, but it's weird that everyone was asking him if he was alright.
Maybe they know something we don't...

i'll be honest, i've long suspected that Brook smokes pot. that doesn't necessarily mean that he can't do his job. but i've never seen him look like this. i dunno, i'll leave it at that but he doesn't look like himself, at least from how i remember him.

Maybe he was worried about another pet he left at home since the dreadful California blaze...

It definitely sucks to see Brook like this as he is a great person. I hope he bounces back and is struggling because they told him they are gonna showcase him for a trade...

Shout out to Pelinka and the crew for killing their first draft. Hart...Kuzma...Bryant... and securing Ball with the #2 after kind of having to hope against 2 different teams. So blessed.

Missed the game so I just watched it on PVR.

1) Does Brook Lopez get sat down? If he doesn't, he needs to play better. Ivica Zubac and Thomas Bryant could use most of his minutes with the left overs going to Randle. That second quarter was awful. Missed dunk, two airball free throws, not attempting to get in LeBron's way at all, etc. None of our young guys looked intimidated playing LeBron. Lopez did.

2) Josh Hart is a baller. Tough rebounds in traffic. Tough D. Has the ability to space the floor.

3) Lonzo's shot is looking like it's starting to come around. He's hit 7 three pointers in the last three games. In his last 8 games, he's got at least 3 3PT makes.

4) There's no moral victories, but if we don't turn the basketball over so much in the second half, we win the game.

5) I was curious to see how Ingram would respond coming off a tough shooting night. No problem at all. That's an amazing sign.

Nice to see our young players playing well this game. Looks like Lonzo is slowly getting better as well which is a nice sign.

Having said that, despite Ingram's solid game, i was disappointed with his dud in the 4th. I was pulling for a new career high. lol Still, great response to his last game.

I feel you, I though BI was gonna get a new career high too. That ability to score in fourth quarters when defenses are fully locked in is what separates the starters of the league from the stars of the league in terms of scorers. The fact that Brandon is scratching at that door at such a young age is the most we could've hoped for when we drafted him. Hell, I don't even think Paul George has figured it out yet despite all the work he put in trying to fix his mid range game. Paul George in the clutch is terrible.

I think the Bryant pick could turn into gold too!

I cannot wait to see Bryant get some minutes. When are we done with giving minutes to Lopez? I know we have to showcase the dude but its getting time.

Is Brook Lopez the worst starting center in the NBA right now? By my calculations the only good game he's had all season was vs his old team, the Nets.

Here's a fun hypothetical? How many more assists would Lonzo average if he didn't have to pass the ball to Lopez and KCP? I'd say easily 9-10 APG.

No way is Brook the worst starting C in the league, and he'd be a lot better in a slower paced system... He's just having a tough year so far trying to keep in front of the game I think...
But he has been pretty bad lately... And starting him and Nance isn't helping either of them at this point.

You gotta love this team. No team can blowout our youngsters. They're playing pretty well and fighting until the end against the elite teams in the league. Let's regroup for Monday's game and let's try to get the W.

Okay a couple of things.

Great overall game from the Team in the open audition for Lebron to see our young squad.

I guess Lebron was whispering to Lonzo tell yo pops to shut up when I come to L.A. and I want you to sign with Nike when I come to L.A. we merging Big Baller with my stuff.

But Lonzo looked like a guy Lebron would want to play with. Making the game easier for Lebron. Ingram is a wing that Lebron doesn't have. and has never had. Jr Smith Duwayne wade nope. maybe Wade in Miami But Ingram has more height and Length. and his ability to score with Lebron will make a very good team.

Then you look at the Bench Kuzma that's a guy who can stretch it for Lebron. so unlike the media will tell you there are pieces.

Now To brook Lopez watch the tape from Last season before you criticize him. He had a great season with the Nets and was their best player every season. he's been a dominant center on offense no rebounding but efficient and prolific scorer. in the post and completely mastered the three point shot with Kenny Atkinson last season in that offense. him and Jeremy Lin made an amazing pick and roll tandem last season. Lonzo doesn't have the same shooting ability as Lin so it's not easy to do pick and roll with him. he should do it more with Ingram. but when Lonzo becomes a better scorer which it is looking like now. the pick and roll offense should be better for Brook.

Coming to a completely different offense is like a Quarterback mastering a whole new offense in football to run. so that's what it's like for Brook. he has to master it. this offense is different then the nets. different kind of players. and that offense was predicated around Brook Lopez. the offense was built around brook lopez.

He's exceptionally bright. he's a Stanford Cardinal. to imply the guy is on drugs is just reckless and completely stupid and moronic. He's had a few games. does he smoke weed who knows. a lot of players smoke weed. no big deal.

Get off of Brook he'll be fine. and he's still putting up numbers. Lonzo needs to start games off feeding him in the post. feed the big fella. and you will get results. like Shaq always said get me the ball early. Kobe would get me the ball early so I could work hard and play defense and control the paint. Get brook going a lot of this other stuff gets easier.

As the Season rolls around you'll see brook get better and this offense revolve around Lonzo Ingram and Brook Lopez. he's a great scorer. he should be utilized. he can help us a lot. you just don't abandon a all star like that. who has such a great skillset.

Monday will be a big game. I expect a Laker Win. with Brook getting 20 and 10. he's an L.A. guy North Hollywood. so I'm sticking with him. there's locker room stuff that you don't see. and I guarantee you he's being a great vet for Lonzo and Mentor for Ingram.

Here's the thing on Demarcus Cousins.

He's going to go where He gets PAID. who shows him the Money. dude was willing to sign for 200 million with Sacramento. but they didn't want to pay him.

Look at New Orleans after paying Jrue Holiday and Anthony Davis do they want to have Three guys at Max Money???????? I don't know where they are with that. that team is not a championship team so do they want to pay the money. I don't see them wanting to max out Cousins. they just can't afford it in that market. they'll make something up.

So I can see The Lakers showing Cousins the money and him signing here. we are the only team that really makes sense outside of New Orleans. maybe Phoenix they have Booker a Kentucky guy. but who's gonna show him the money. So that's the deal on him.

The more and more I look at this with Lonzo and Ingram we need a big. the big is coming back. and if you look at Embiid and Philly can't believe I'm saying this but we need something to throw at him. so We can get that.

Ingram is really making this interesting because if he starts reaching Superstardom this year our whole off season plans can shift to a big man. and then there's still Lebron. hopefully we can move Luol Deng.

I’m not on the brook lopez bandwagon any more. I’m hoping we land Deandre(2 year)and Paul George(long term). Need to just cut KCP and Lopez when the time comes. Unless....KCP wants to sign for a bit cheaper.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
