What do you think a journalist Pulitzer price winners write about? Science Fiction, biographies, novels? No they write articles on Notable Events Weather and Sports (NEWS) base on interviews, investigations and research. It is the quality of the writing it self (how is written and presented) that sets a writer apart, although Wojo is an anomaly because he is considered a really good reporter because he has the best scoops but his writing could be better.
you failed to adress my point completely. It isn't about what he is writing that bothers me it is the why. Jeanie tells him to write an article with a certain message and he does it. The message isn't his own. Point being you shouldn't win an award by writing something to gain brownie points from another person. Now maybe he received an award for something in the past that was authentic but certainly nothing that he has written over the last few years on the Lakers has been.

You have no point when you complain about what he won an award for, but you don’t know what he won an award for.
