KCP shows up 9 games late.... He had a great second half tonight. Key steal and big shot. Everyone else was coming up small at the end and he didn't.

He has been playing well all year

Bringing it on both ends
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

He's a bulldog. Love the fearless never say die attitude. It's GREAT for the young kids to get a chance to catch that Kontagious Caldwell-Pope defense and scrap bug for a full year. He's clutch. Badass.

He has a knack for knocking down big shots, but other than that I've been really upset with what he brings to the team offensively. He needs to accept that Lonzo is the PG, not KCP, and he needs to stop hanging around in the backcourt looking to bring the ball up the court. The whole team needs this lesson to be honest. When the other team scores one guy inbounds, Lonzo gets the ball and everyone else busts ass down court so Lonzo can either find them for deep passes or use that extra space at mid court to get the offense going.

KCP loves to pound the ball into the ground, IMO he shouldn't even be touching it on offense except for catch and shoot.

He runs some good pick and rolls and right now he might be better than Lonzo at that play as his man cannot afford to let him open and go under the screen in midrange.

Kcp has shown a far better handle than advertised. Part of the reason he is trying to do so much out of his "known abilities" is that it's a contract year.

He wants to show he is a top 5-10 sg who can do it all

All of the above and I like that he's good at grabbing rebounds too.. Like Lonzo... On the SL we pretty much have rebounders at all positions. If we ever get the transition game going well, that's going to be key.
Never have rice at Hanzo's house...

KCP's played well for the Lakers thus far.

Looking at his advanced stats:
- KCP is shooting 35.5% from 3pt, 44.8% from the corners, 52.8 TS%, which tells me we need him to only shoot 3s and layups
- KCP is 2nd best on the team in TO% at 10.9% (after hart), for comparison, the team avg is 14.3%
- KCP is 2nd on the team in VORP at 0.5 (after nance)
- KCP is 2nd on the team in BPM at 0.4 (after nance)

if he cuts down on the dribbling and midrange 2s (10-22 ft, 24% of his shot attempts), and focuses on becoming a pure 3 (51% of his shot attempts) and D, he wouldn't be bashed so hard, and instead he'd be an analytics driven success

I'll be glad when Paul George simply replaces him and the team ups the ante vs good teams.

KCP has done what was expected of him. If he tries too hard, I think he struggles. He should stick to 3s and drives to the basketball while focusing mostly on the defense.

That said, next year its PG and Hart replacing KCP.
