Paul George is not a star player. 17.4 PER, volume shooter, who doesn't play-make. No thanks. Why should we sacrifice 30% of our cap for that? Add him to our roster, and i'm not even sure we're much better. I'm more amenable to Cousins even despite his character issues though. Lebron and Cousins would be the best grab if we're that desperate to be competitive next year. Personally we're best served developing our core. At least next year, we'll have our pick. As for those tired of us losing, so what? The Lakers are about winning titles, not about coming in 6 or 7th place.

Cousins is probably my first choice other than LeBron. All our future talent is concentrated on the perimeter.... and this guy has been an absolute monster so far, 26/13/5, 1.5 steals, 1.5 blocks, heck even shooting 36% from 3. He can still get better with the right coaching and the spacing Ingram and Kuz can provide if they improve as well.

Cousins or PG, and be done with it. with the way our guys are playing now, we just need that one guy who can get us to the next level.

How about no star? See sig below. That team makes the playoffs next year. We could wait one year. I don't really want PG13 nor Boogie (bad personalities), and I don't really want us all to become LBJ droolers... I'd take Capela, though.

PG: Luka / Vincent / Bronny

One star player and a veteran 3nD wing.

Our roster as is (minus JC, Lopez, KCP, Brewer). I actually don't mind Brewer off the bench, savvy defender who fits this system.

For argument's sake let's say it's LBJ
Ball, Ingram, LBJ, Kuzma, Randle = Playoffs

Replace him with PG13 and we'll need another star next to him. Same with Boogie. Staying put with our core and eyeing 2019 FA market to complete the roster might not be a bad option after all.

Lets hope that OKC keeps losing & that Presti doesn’t figure out a way to dump Melo... Another year of maturation for the young bucks & PG would equate to 10 plus wins...

Lakers won’t package Ingram to dump Deng... Worst case is you let Lopez, KCP & Randle go & stretch Deng...
