Our January and February Schedule Eases up Dramatically

Post#1 » by Leor_77 » Thu Dec 28, 2017 6:00 pm

I know there's doom and gloom everywhere, but I think it's worth noting that not just January, but also February are much easier months. I also think that part of why our losses have been so bad rankings-wise is that all the bad teams (Sac, Dal, Chi, Bk, Phx, etc.) have suddenly decided to win their games. Also, there are about 5 teams currently ahead of us, that are ahead by just a game or two...That's how bunched up the bottom is right now.

To those saying, we are losing to "bad" teams...Well yeah, but if you look over our record, we were most likely to get wins vs bad teams and not good teams (even though we might have gotten the game close)...So, that's why the schedule easing up will make a big difference, especially once we get everyone back healthy. So, not saying things are good...but they should get better when guys get healthy and the schedule eases up.

We're worse than the dirt between the toes and we'll lose 80% of the games we're going to play during these 2 months.

Don't you dare reverse jinx this masterful prediction.

The rest of our schedule is more balanced out between good and bad teams overall. This will be as bad as it gets, but the hurt might not stop Jan 5-9.

Maybe we can get the one against the Clips on Friday, but there are rumors swirling around that Blake might suit up for that game.

It was no secret that December would be rough, but I don't take solace in an "easier" schedule, either.

We were still losing to bad teams WITH a healthy roster.

Memphis and Portland without lilliard at home were easy schedules and we still lost. I mean I can't think of a team other than maybe Atlanta that is easier to face than a lilliardless blazers team.

How does that make you better than the Lin, Gallo, and Wil fans who root for them over NY?

Lol almost every game thread there is someone who says "we should win this game" and then we end up losing LOL

Please enough with this kind of talk, saying easier schedule or winnable game etc

Let's just cheer the Lakers and hope they win as many as they can ;)

This is exactly what I was telling the crowd on the Celtics board, they actually a cheerleading thread hoping the Lakers finish with the worst record in the NBA. I mean I get it they want another top player especially from this draft which I don't think will be as deep as they claim every year. After the first say 5 picks it's just a balance draft with a few steal pieces if you scout right.

But yeah our schedule in January and February is way easier than now. If the team can string 3 or 4 wins in row together during those months they will easily play that pick back down which is all I want. Because like I said after the top 5 it's not a franchise changer in this draft that's on LeBron level off the bat.

We lost those games due to coaching plain and simple. Let's not act as if Luke hasn't smoked off a few chances for us to win games, sometimes tactical moves backfire.

after 5th pick , it conveys to the 76ers anyway, which is why celtics fans are dying for us to be a bottom team. and obviously they will have the chance to pick a franchise changer(potentially) from the top 5. depth of this draft is not a concern for boston in terms of our pick. but the potential of top end is far higher than 2017 draft's top end.

Who cares? We lost at home to the freaking Blazers and Grizzlies, then we can lose to everybody.

Agree with everything you said. Problem is getting a top pick will almost mean the Celtics at some point will have to shed one of the top young guys they have now. Especially if they're looking for a franchise changer....and that in itself is not a real need, they just need a top front court player truthfully. I'm not worried about this pick I can almost bet it drops out of where it's currently at. And if it goes to Philly, my gut tells me they're trading it because as with each draft that's a contract problem down the road. This new NBA isn't set up to give extension after extension to these top picks.

Tough to get excited after losing to Blazers without Lillard & Memphis without Conley at home... I do feel we are headed in the right direction but should have a better record at this point... If we want to recruit players, they need to feel we have a couple pieces & that we can contend or make the playoffs...

What did I say? Our schedule is still pretty easy pretty much all of Jan and Feb.
