Can't help but think all of these player distractions rooted because of these two going public about the "2018 2 max FA" plan. What if it weren't made public? I bet players will be performing and playing inspired basketball, people won't clamor for player's heads over playing time, and the young guys' transition to bigger roles will be organic.

Yeah.... getting a PF who can score and stretch the floor and ridding ourselves of an anchor contract is terrible.
At this point I'd trade Russell ( a 2 guard who can score and nothing else is a fairly common commodity) for Kuzma straight up.
I’m not sure if saying he’s “a 2 guard who can score and nothing else...” is an accurate statement. He’s more SG than PG but so are most of the “successful” PGs in the NBA right now.
Horford leading Boston in assists for example doesn’t seem to be hurting them.
He's a 2 guard most likely in the end in the NBA. In 18 games he's had 5 with at least 5 turnovers (2 with 8 and one with 7) so maybe he's not the guy you want with the ball more than anyone else.
Anyway, I think Kuzma's value is nearly his alone at this point. With his knee issues I wouldn't trade Kuzma for him. Would you?

All i know the time comes and the blame games goes into full effect after we completely fail on our FA max plan this offseason, Pelika will be the one to get pushed onto the grenade by Magic and Jeannie.
Jeannie is a known snake with the way she shanked her incompetent brother before his sheer incompetence manifested itself in the Deng/Mozgov deals, which may have been prompted by Jeannie pushing hard on the whole contender deadline thing. Nonetheless Jeanne has shown masterful ability to dodge blame and shift it when needed by having the LA media completely in her pocket.
Magic is the Magic man. He brought chips and his winning smile will deflect blame. He's **** Magic.
Pelinka is ****. His newbieness will be blamed and quite frankly he was brought aboard simply to be used as a scapegoat when **** goes sideways.
Now come 2019-2020 with another **** season with failed FA pitches and no playoffs. A showdown between Jeannie and Magic on the blame game will be truly epic. I mean they'll likely find common cause to find another scapegoat GM, but honestly at this point the fanbase will be near revolt.
Bonus mayhem if the Clippers under West pulls a miracle out of their ass by drafting the 2nd coming of Giannis or PG13 with their DET pick, or if they fall out of the PO and hit the lottery and they draft a future star. Oh man... that'd be cray cray.

Re: Buy or Sell: "Magic frustrated with Pelinka"
Dlo is a player that is flawed.
He has a skill. he's a pure scorer. and can score the ball any where on the court can shoot the three run pick and roll and has a mid range game. exactly what we need now. The thing is he can start at the shooting guard probably should be a bench player where he can just come in and score.
I think the issue was we asked him to do something and be something he wasn't after Steph Curry we wanted to draft our Steph Curry fans listened to the media and we all thought he was that dude. but he's not more like a Lou Williams Jamal Crawford. was he drafted way to high????? Yes obviously it should've been Porzingis but nobody on this board was saying Porzingis in fact people were scared we were going to draft him and were getting turnt up that we flew to Las Vegas for a workout with him. everyone in here wanted Dlo I think the quote from a post on here was Jerry West said Dlo would be a 15 time all star.
Anyway I don't know how Phil Talked Jeanie into drafting Deangelo at two and letting him draft Porzingis at four and knicks fans got mad at him and he gave them their best draft pick since Patrick Ewing.
I'm a Dlo guy and I know he wasn't the right pick. the issue I had was trading the number two pick in a draft with Porzingis and Booker when you could've had one of those guys. especially when Kuzma could've been drafted with our Houston pick.
it's not Like Booker was some over sees European Dude was a star on the same team with Karl Anthony Towns Booker was a bench player but NBA people knew he was the best shooter and pure scorer in the draft. his dad Mel Booker played in the NBA after Mychal And Klay Thompson you would think that we would want to draft the next Klay.
But Russell had a workout and convinced the Staff he was the pick. not sure but maybe someone can pull up did we even invite Booker for a workout?
Pelinka is going nowhere he has the Kobe protection. that's Kobe's guy. and Jeanie is crazy over Kobe. not up for debate but if there is anybody who has as much juice in the organization as Magic it's Kobe. Rob is the salary Cap work guy. he does all the work and has all the credibility. Magic isn't going to do the Cap work. Jeanie screwed a lot of this up with her playoff timeline. which put mitch in a talespin. I think a lot of this dysfunction led to the free agents being turned off by us. Jeanie put that Mozgoff contract in motion. we should've just been developing talent. simple as Free agency will tell how good Magic has done and Rob. they set the expectation. now they have to own it. as we all saw with Lebron he has no idea what he's going to do. and I believe he has no idea. he can one day say I want to go to Philly or Milwakee or phoenix. Lebron is all over the place so why we involved ourselves with that circus is puzzling. Paul George is interesting but OKC not acquiring Blake Griffin a star you can have under control from OKC with Westbrook most atheletic team. you can sell that to your fan base with Melo. kind of surprising like they know something. so maybe OKC didn't want to pay Blake Griffin but if they don't want to pay him maybe they don't want to pay Paul George so we'll see Magic will have to answer for what Lonzo Ball turns into and Paul George he looks good with Kuzma.

Magic has to show some long term vision beyond 2 max free agents. I'm all in on that plan but the team needs contingency plans and backup plans for their contingency plans. A team like Golden State plans years ahead of time.
I can't remember the last time a team signed two max free agents in a single off season other than the 2010 Heat. There needs to be a long term goal maybe sign George this off season and monitor what's going on with Anthony Davis or keep that cap space flexibility in case a difference maker becomes available.

Straight up BS especially coming from Le B*thc....dude ain't no real journalist. Stories like these hold no weight when it's already well known he was complaining about Magic being given the job like he was.
Oh but this is the same turd who can put his daddy on TV and he never went to school for TV production or writing, but he want's to complain about a HOF player turn president of the team like he has no experience in basketball what so ever ? B*tch please GTFO, and ESPN wonders why they're struggling as a network now....maybe because you keep trash on TV like Le B*tch.
