Lakers fined $50k for tampering with Magic's Giannis comments

anytime Mitch was asked about a player on another team he'd decline comment and remind the reporter that it would be against league rules to comment. Not sure why this is so hard for Magic, it may seem harmless on the outside looking in but when he's a free agent one day taking offers from around the league these kind words would be remembered should the Lakers want to interview him

He should have a walk through from Ryan West PR Rob Pelinka about what is tampering and what is not tampering.

Let me make this clear for you Laker fans. yes it is tampering the first part isn't tampering. he can say what a great player for our league. but the second part is clearly tampering He's going to win a championship one day. he's up there with the best Lebron Durant Curry. he can make others better. he can score.

You know players in here in this league think they are the best. they have egos. and a guy like Magic planting that in his ear can really screw up what a team like Milwakee can do with their player. they can still sign him. I'm just telling you what Tampering can do. it's starting drama and putting something in a players ear through the media.

it worked with Paul George. it's worked with Lebron so the league is on full tampering mode when they see anything Magic says now. he's a great savy basketball guy. but why is it so hard for Magic to just say We have great players in our league and I think all of the players we have can do it all. I'm flattered to always to be compared to the great players in our league. and we can't comment on players who aren't our players. but I'm flattered. anytime a player tries to play like me that's great stuff. and a lot of players do that.

IN the NBA you can't just talk about other players. any executives affiliated with other teams can't just talk about how players make others better and go on about a player going to win a championship. it's open recruiting through the media. if they allowed it every executive would do it. even Jerry would just say Lebron is a great player. but when you say code words like he will win a championship and then try to clean it up with he'll put Milwawkee on the map. it's openly discussing another teams player.
