Clarkson and Nance are my favorite Lakers post-Kobe (I loved Clarkson his rookie year too though). I've always been a fan of random players and don't really care which teams they go to, I still enjoy those players and will root for them and not really care about their team. If you loved Clarkson/Nance on the Lakers and say "F them" once they leave, I feel like that's a rather immature approach. (Or you're just a crazy die-hard Lakers fan and everyone else can burn in a fire)
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

I'll always have a soft spot for Larry and Jordan, even if the latter was easily the more consistently frustrating of the two.

Let them average 20 apiece while the Cavs lose lots to end the season. That sounds like the best possible outcome here.

Why would we suddenly become Cavs fans? Because over the course of the past many years, many of my favorite players got traded. So should I be a fan of all the teams out there?

how can you hate this dude? at young age and nba career he already has his own foundation.

https://www.jordanclarkson6.com/foundation/

MISSION STATEMENT

While growing up in San Antonio, Texas, my family and I witnessed deprivation on the city’s Southside in the form of poverty and social inequities. Through our JC Cares Foundation, we strive to plant hope and instill a sense of pride in the underprivileged. I have been blessed to have role models like NBA Hall of Famer David Robinson, who demonstrated the importance of mentorship and how it changes lives. Through our mentoring efforts, we emphasize the importance of social accountability and responsibility. Our efforts hope to “give back” to youth and their communities leaving an indelible mark on Los Angeles, San Antonio and their surrounding communities.

In addition, the foundation aims to support organizations in the ongoing fight against cancer. My family and I have experienced firsthand the devastating impact of this dreaded disease when my father was diagnosed in January 2014 with a stage four, cancerous tumor. Fortunately, with the support of agencies on the front lines fighting cancer, my father’s life was spared. However, there are thousands who experience a much different outcome. The JC Cares Foundation is committed to families battling cancer and supporting organizations working feverishly in finding cure.

Through my foundation, I lend my celebrity to better our communities enabling others to envision a brighter tomorrow. The JC Cares Foundation looks to partner with like-minded corporate sponsors in transforming thousands of lives annually.

I think everybody here is experiencing graduation goggles. After a year or so nobody will feel the same towards the players we traded.

I'm not a Cavs fan, but I still still be a fan of Clarkson and Nance. I hope to see them have success and have long careers.

This is like when Eddie Jones left. I was happy that he had a respectable career.

God no. I started to not give a **** about russel pretty quickly. I imagine it will be the same with lrry and jc. The cavs are a joke of a franchise with a joke of an owner.

Clarkson is overpaid no matter how look at it. But he is better than Jr Smith. Nance I care more about since he was Lonzo’s Favorite target but alas. This upgrade doesn’t put the cavs over much anyway. Fools don’t even practice.

LeBron has become the only superstar I can stand at this point... I used to think he was a over-hyped prima dona and I still do to a certain extent... But I despise Harden, CP3, Westbrook, and have grown tired of KD's tough-guy antics in GS... I do like AD, but he's got a ways to go to prove he's a winner... Paul George is a second tier star... Embiid and Simmons are annoying...

My second favorite team is the Spurs... But I don't watch them because even when they win, it's not very interesting... The Cavs are intriguing because of the Lebron situation, but also because of how bad they were...

Gilbert will never be liked, but plenty of guys like Cuban and he was just as bad... And I give Gilbert a little slack because of the situation with his son.

Take last game as an example... LeBron got 37/8/8, and honestly he made it look almost effortless... IMO, he's still the best player in the league right now...
Nance was huge, JC was huge... They get up and down, they defend and score... They all look like they're having a good time...

No, I'll never be a 'Cavs Fan' per-se, but they're watchable basketball right now...

Well said.... especially the part in Bold. I'd add Curry to that mix and his too cool for school antics. The early 90's NBA would fix that in a quarter.

I continued being a Peeler fan until he retired, so I will probably keep cheering for JC. It was easier then, you knew AP was going so we could sign Shaq. We have no idea with JC.

Good post.

Yeah, I didn't mean fans in the true sense of the word. More like are you going to be rooting for the Cavs in the east now.

Anyways, I think the Cavs are a badly run franchise that lacks foresight, but they are also subjected to Lebron's demands and wishes.
Dan Gilbert is too involved in the GM's, Scouting and general FO decisions. Ty Lue is a horrible coach that doesn't run practices. I believe the Cavs play way below their ceiling which is a shame. For example, instead of running set plays for Korver similar to the Hawks, too many times they have him just spot up behind the 3pt line... another thing I don't like is how seldom Lebron is involved as an off-ball player, as a cutter, as a screener and as a roll man.

I wish Lebron was more willing to become a different player, more team oriented. He is about himself, he would't do something that would sacrifice his stats... he just views himself as a perimeter player, but in fact his team would be much better if he played more like a PF, more off-ball.

I wish more that Lebron had a good coach that he would listen to. Basketball is all about the little things and they are sometimes the difference between a good team and a title favourite like we saw with the Warriors before Kerr and after Kerr. They had the same exact players.

Anyways, Nance is a much much better player than T risen Thompson. The way he moves on the court is a really magical thing. He has great hands both on offense and on defence, he hustles like no other, he understands the game at a very high level and I think his game is going to look even better on a contender.

I have watched your last two games and it was a bummer watching that defence that was on. I like watching you guys.
