I hope that lineup gets many minutes the rest of the year. I hope we stick to that core and just add onto it.

Randle’s a monster and it sounds like Ingram completely dominated this game in the 3rd quarter.

Yeah, you can see the outlines there of a pretty solid core.

Ingram and Randle are both having really good months (only 10 games, but still), Lonzo can be great when his shot is falling and Hart has all the makings of a nice 3-and-D type. Kuzma's fallen off pretty dramatically in the new year, but maybe that's just the rookie wall. Either way, it's been a really promising stretch after that dreadful losing streak.

The problem remains: As young as all of these dudes still are, I don't see an MVP candidate among them, and barring some exceptional circumstances you need that in order to truly contend. This summer's going to be very, very interesting. If Randle plays this well through the rest of the season, it would be tough to see him go.

Just to follow that up, Ingram and Randle in February (10 games):

Randle - 19.4 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 4.3 apg, 58.9 FG%, 61.4 TS%
Ingram - 18.6 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 5.6 apg, 54.5 FG%, 52.2 3p%, 62.1 TS%

That's nice.

Yeah, nice indeed. And I'm so digging that we had nine players in double figures the other day. Those could perhaps be the unusual circumstances that might circumvent the MVP thing.

I'd love it if that were our identity going forward, "we're all gonna beat you up, not just a few of us"...

Magic is looking for a closer, a star. I just hope the budding ones that we have in our young core, like Randle, all get to stay here for a long time.

He doesn't give a **** about that lol the school is in trouble not him.

Trouble or not, he cares about his family name and his school that gave him a degree. Nobody wants drama in their life.
With that said, depending on how this goes, Kyle and his family could at the very least be implicater as a witness in court. At worst, they can get hit for accepting bribes and accentuating illegal acts.

you are over-reacting. there are no "laws" state or federal that were broken only NCAA rules were broken. the worse that can happen to him is that he has to return the money and or pay the college back for his education. that will be about a months pay for him,

Yes, if he indeed accepted cash it is a law broken. It is constituted as acceptance of a bribe. Schools are government moderated. State funds are involved. In the past it's been viewed as petty and overlooked legally but government officials have become vocal and that usually is ominous.

Now this is law, versus letter of the law, versus government pathfinding. The fact that multiple government agencies are involved states that changes will be made. As a corporate investigator I'd say that he doesn't have legal concerns here but if enough stink is made he will be implicated and will be forced to discuss his goings ons.
