Re: Around the NBA IX
LeBron is a BMF but the sad thing is that even that might not be enough for the Cavs to win this series.

Lebron's a ball hog - that is all - isn't that what they said about kobe when he hits 40+ pts?

Remember when he was a free agent some hoped the lakers would sign?
Heat would probably need to pay someone assets to his deal off their hands.

Re: Around the NBA IX
Do they even have assets? Also their cap situation is nightmarish. I'm not sure there's a team in a worse position in the NBA right now. Just good enough to be an 8th seed with zero flexibility for the foreseeable future.

Re: Around the NBA IX
Josh Richardson is probably the only asset, maybe Dragic and kind of sort of Olynyk. Otherwise its a bunch of overpaid bad players.

People need to check his paycheck too when thinking about how much Randle should get paid... Nobody even blinked when he got that asinine contract, and most wished we'd gotten the chance to pay it.

I'd rather have Whiteside than the lump of coal that is Deng
Would be easier to dump

Re: Around the NBA IX
Fun fact: Pacers now lead 2-1 : )
I'm going happy as hell, but kind of sad, thinking if they beat cavs, Bron will probably Bolt in the hope to get max money from us and then retire - even worse probably get a major injury or something once here

I think it would be a mistake to use Whiteside as a measuring stick for Randle's next contract. I think we should try to learn from what appears now to be a mistake. Whiteside was pretty dominant that year (better than Randle almost across the board). Like Randle he was also pretty young and playing during a contract year. We wouId be just as screwed if we pay Randle similar money and 2 years into his contract he reverts back to the old Randle.
