Are you kidding me? The Brook/Randle pairing is a nightmare on the glass. Randle averages 10.7 rebounds per 36 minutes whereas Brook averages an abysmal 6.1 boards.

Randle is here to stay but he need a better frontcourt partner. The available candidates are Nerlens Noel and Alex Len. Take your pick.

Rebound was not a problem for the Lakers since Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart and in some extent KCP are really good rebounder as guards. And Lakers were top 2 in average rebounding per game. Lakers were TOP REBOUNDING TEAM LAST YEAR STASTICTICALLY

Why so many misconception ?

Nerlens and Len are horrible pair for Randle.

It was the same for Brook's NJ teams. He boxes out 2 and sometimes 3 guys which results in fewer rebounds for himself and more for his teammates (ie lonzo hart and kcp) which is why his rebounding stats are deceiving.

Lopez back on the cheap would be fine. Mentor Wagner and play 20 mins a night
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

If we waive the non guaranteed deals of Zubac and Bryant, it helps save us about 1.2 mil in cap, as theyre replaced by roster charges of 870ishk.

I wonder if we're able to resign them to minimum deals after we fill our cap with our primary moves LBJ/PG13/Kawhi etc. Dont think these guys have much standing or value in the league so should definitely be able to keep one as a primary backup or 3rd string C.

Old KG is my current ideal of a center and one every Lakers fan should be very familiar with. Essentially Boston KG was one who can defend all areas of the floor, lead the defense vocally, and blow up plays with his high IQ. Offensively, he sets hard screens and can either roll hard or pop out. He was also an offensive hub with his good passing ability, but this singular skill at this position is incredibly hard to find. I don't care for giving huge contracts to the Clint Capela types as much because they can still be played off the floor. But the old KG type doesn't exist except for a poor man's version in Draymond Green.

Anyways, this doesn't answer the OP's question.

Too bad the Lakers can't just offer Dwight Howard the minimum and just play him 20 minutes a game.

But this is a position the Lakers would have to go cheap on so...Nerlens Noel, Kyle O'Quinn, Amir Johnson, Brandon Wright, or bringing back Tarik Black.

Dwight got bought out, so he might be able to be had for somewhat cheap. He had a good season last year.

He could redeem himself and his image by just playing his role here if we get LeBron. Really it's just an ego thing. Can he be a supporting player?

Nerlens Noel would be the perfect fit. He’s a Rich Paul client so it would please LeBron as well.

Capela and Lopez (on the cheap) backed up by Zubac would be a great C rotation. Wagner and Julius are also good tweener PF/Cs to add to that.

Add LBJ, avoid PG.
Since the 1976 merger LAL 11, CHI 6, BOS 6, SAS 5, GSW 4

PG: Luka / Vincent / Bronny
SG: Smart / Reaves / Knecht / Mañon
SF: LaRavia / Rui / Thiero
PF: Bron / Vando / Kleber
C: Ayton / Hayes / Koloko
