Mid range game? Cross that off the list. Post up gamr? Gulp.. Cross that off the list? Shut the back door and driving lane defensively. Okay, we got something here. I would take him, but id have to watch film, if there's anything more
Catch and dunk in regular season games...... oh.... and shoot 45% from the FT line in the playoffs after shooting 54% for the year. Combine that with Ball and you have 2 guys you have to swap out offense for defense in close games down the stretch.

Lakers scheduled to meet with RFA Clint Capela
I don’t like this move. This reminds me of when Bismack Biyombo was signed by the Magic for his performance in Toronto.

Well I'm not saying the Lakers should sign him but he outplayed both Towns and Gobert in the playoffs and did pretty well switched out to guards on the perimeter, didn't give up easy looks at jumpers to Curry.
He's pretty good defensively for a big man playing against smaller lineups.

4 years 90mil, 4th year player option, all the poison pills and trade kickers i can load up. HOU likely matches, but there's still a chance for us.
If we get him then his year 1 starts at 21m. If we keep Randle on his QO (which looks likely), then we still have 35% max slot for Lebron.
C - Capela, Wagner, Zubac
PF- Kuzma, Randle, Deng
SF- Lebron
SG- Ingram, Hart
PG- Lonzo
At this point i'd try to trade Deng + 2019 FRP for a better 2 year contract player at the 1-3. I'm talking the likes of Brandon Knight, MKG, Courtney Lee, Kent Bazemore. Teams who are pretty much dead in the water cap wise and need future assets. Our pick will likely be 24ish.
Upside of trading Deng for a semi useful player is that if that player rebounds then we have a useful player on a big expiring deal we can use as our primary salary filler for trade at the deadline or 2019 FA.
Alternatively, after we secure Lebron we can then go after Kawhi with most of SAS leverage gone. Since PHI lost out on LBJ they might not be so hot to trade everything for Kawhi and BOS is def out as LBJ is now in the West so they can just rely on health and internal improvements.
Honestly we just need 1 **** major FA to sign otherwise we're so **** in any Kawhi negotiations. PG13 was supposed to be the easy domino and if Lebron keeps everyone guessing or heaven forbid chooses somewhere else, we're so ****.
Money doesn't work with the roster you have posted. We don't even have two max cap slots at the moment.

Capella signs for 21m year one. Randle accepts his QO.

The money works. One can argue whether Capela will sign that deal or Randle accepts his QO or LBJ signs. But the money works.

Well.... Harden is a massive threat to finish in the P&R. He's also a sure bet to get fouled doing so. He's also a sure bet to hit the FT's. Lonzo has yet to be sure bet at any of those things. May come in the future but he didn't show that last year.
I worry this guy is a strike out waiting to happen.

With what money? Unless we reneounce Randle and stretch Deng.
Is rather keep Randle on a cheaper contract and find an expiring for Deng
