The Warriors also do no have his bird rights. Say he bounces back, and is 100% by the end of the year, the Warriors can offer 120% (6.4 million) of his salary. So why sign him this year, when you can see how he does this year and sign him next?

His last team New Orleans wouldnt budge for a cheap few mil deal. Didnt even give em a call. What does that say?

I was upset too when the news broke out, now that I had time to digest and really break down the +/- DMC can do for the team I'm glad they passed on the opportunity to get him as the injury alone and the time he'll spend off the court outweigh his possible contribution on the court when/if he is healthy again, not even going to detail the locker room stuff.

you don't want this stat chasing cancer anywhere near the young guys on the Lakers. Easy pass even if he was free.

Re: Passing on Cousins was a costly mistake
We've already discussed this in other threads... Call me when Cousins does something meaningful on the court again... And then call me when GSW decide not to give him a new contract next summer... Because maybe we can sign him then.
