Yeah lets face it, we're not beating either one of them, they are by far the two best teams in the nba right now. If we were in the east we'd probably come out of that.

Yeah the same Houston team that is done in 5 if Iggy does not get hurt. The same one that bricked 26s threes in a row.

PAul gets hurt every year in the playoffs, it is not new and he is not getting younger or slimmer tbh.

And now there is no Ariza. Capella also has not signed back up

Houston should totally sign your boy Melo. I’m sure his awesomeness is just what their missing.

They got to sign the Prince back before anything else. Capella, the Prince, and then Melo if they are smart. The Prince played a lot of small ball 5 for them last year so they are screwed without him

I feel we are not done yet with off season moves but we are fine with what we have right now. Acquiring Kawhi is big. Losing Deng is big for me too.

With the Melo rumors I'm thinking we're going to be trading either Ingram or Kuzma to "complete" the team.

If, by big, salary is meant here, then I could see Deng getting traded before September. I have a feeling FO will move Deng and sign Melo at vet. min and that is gonna be the end of our major transactions this coming season.

I am hoping for one that includes Deng being sent out.

With the performance of our picks in the SL, though a small sample size, SA/PRTLND should be intrigued.

Ingram, Deng, Mo, Machine 2.0 and picks is a decent return for Kawhi

George Hill of the Cavs was sitting next to Rob Pelinka courtside last night.

Could Hill be a Laker for Luol Deng and the Lakers 2019 FRP since Hill is basically on an expiring contract with only $1m guaranteed for the 2019-2020 year so he gets waived after the 2018-2019 season with only $1m against the cap which is nothing.

Kuzma was seen with Rob and Walton at Summer League... That's the kiss of death if Russell is any example...

Yep...
The roster is set up for waiting out the season and signing a free agent next year... But that was clearly done to put pressure on San Antonio to trade Kawhi to us...

And at the end of the day, this isn't a 'complete' roster as it sits... Clearly there need to be some moves.

So I would say we're set up for one particular big trade... Kawhi Leonard... And if that doesn't work we'll ride out the season as we are.

But I don't think we have a list of trades we want to work through... Just one... And maybe if Kawhi get's traded somewhere else for a rental, we trade for Dame or something like that... But all eyes on KL for the moment.

Yeah... We want rid of Deng and we want Leonard. I hope to god it doesn't cost us all of the young guys. For me, at this point, Ball is the most expendable of them with a LeBron led team. Ingram no longer fits if we get Leonard. Only Kuzma would seem to be a fit if we do both trades because I think he'd be OK coming off the bench. Then again if we send out Kuzma and Ingram we'd need a scoring forward off the bench and that's where Melo fits I guess.

Now I'm kind of hoping we strike out on Leonard and dumping Deng if it's going to cost 2 of the 3.... and pave the way for Melo to come here.

That's what guys were saying about Russell too... Randle Sucks! Ingram's a Bust! Russells the first player under 22 to do_____!

I don't think any of them are completely safe... But I agree that on paper it would seem most likely for us to keep Kuzma over Ingram... If for no other reason that Kuzma isn't nearly as valuable as Ingram.

They've been talking since the announcement about Lebron playing off ball more... They meant off Ball... As in Ball's starting at PG... They didn't give Rondo a 1yr contract to come be the starter here.
I think Ball is virtually untouchable at this point... Ingram would be too but if you think you need Kawhi and you have LeBron already, there's not a lot of room for Ingram...

But in a vacuum:
Ball>Ingram>>Kuzma in order of untouchability... It's just that Kuz isn't valuable enough by himself to headline a major trade for us, and Ingram is redundant to Kawhi.

To me all of our 3 young guys are somewhat equal given a situation that suits them. With Leonard here Ingram comes off the bench and I'm not sure he's going to want to do that moving toward his big payday. Ball has a ton of holes in his game and does the FO want to live with the "growing" he needs to do with the sand running through the LeBron $154M hourglass? Kuzma is the one who seems the most pliable in that he's probably OK on the bench and would have a role that plays to his strength if we got Leonard.

To me Ingram is the one that has the most to lose if we get Leonard. Went from being one of the faces of the young Lakers and the FO talking up him as the next this or that to trading away his starting position. That is a big deal. He seems, from a personnel standpoint to be the one we should trade if we are going to get Leonard. This would be true next offseason as well if we signed Leonard. We're basically saying he's not the SF we want by pursuing Leonard as hard as we are.

I’m starting to think the lakers will use Zu, McGee, and Wagner in spot minutes depending on the matchup but will often times just go super small with Lebron/Kuzma at center...just watch lol

Lakers will make a move during the season as they will be opportunistic with the roster... Magic LOVES Kuzz & Hart & has even deemed Kuzz untouchable... Hart is the vocal leader of the young core... LBJ likes Ball... Ingram is the ODD man out if you get another wing... Lakers are active & talking to teams...
