Presumptuous question.

One, superstars no longer have as much of an impact on individual teammates so much. Were Kevin Love, Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade, and Kyrie Irving better playing next to Lebron? More than anything, talented teammates have had to adjust or sacrifice for Lebron.

Even 3-pt role players like JR smith and Kyle Korver have had mostly average or below average stats career-wise playing with Lebron.

Second, if we’re talking about younger, unproven players, I think that’s an unjust assumption that Lebron would be responsible for their hard work. And these young kids are busting their asses, with or without Lebron.

Third, I think more than anything our team and roster is helping Lebron. We have so many unselfish playmakers like Lonzo and Rondo and dynamic shooters and scorers like Kuzma, Ingram, Hart, Beasley. We play up and down with fresh young athletic ballers. We have a coach and system focused on ball movement. This is all relieving pressure on Lebron, who’s had to play with an older, limited roster in Cleveland. He’s also no longer helping anybody on defense - we saw that the past 2 seasons. Also getting a basket protector in McGee and a slew of perimeter defenders helps him just guard his man.

No, this is completely backwards. Our roster is tailored to slowing down Lebron’s decline. That’s why he said he was so excited to play with this group of Lakers.

Kuzma or Ingram, whoever can prove to have the better spot-up jump shot.

Ingram's main improvement last year was that he started going to the hoop more often. The sets he had the greatest success on where isolation or pick and rolls.... That's Lebron's game as well but he's much better at it at this point. Ingram's opportunities to isolate and have the team set him up will be diminished I'd think. He shot better from 3 last year but it was a fairly small sample. He's the one I think will have to adjust more than anyone else unless he's been hiding a great catch and shoot game.

None of the younger guys move well without the ball. Kuzma being a slight exception. This is where the best opportunity to play off Bron exists.

Shooters. The answer is shooter

If deng could play, he could look decent if he could hit a shot! Super small 5 and stretch 4 with good defense? Come on deng!!!

Svi should look good. Lots of playmakers is nice. Someone who can cut effectively could do serious damage.

Because basketball is a team sport.

I think there are several Players that will benefit as a team.

I really wish he could talk some sense into Lonzo Ball about changing that shot.

There have been some great un orthodox shooters that became good shooters.

However, Because Lonzo Shooting Mechanics are so un orthodox because his shot comes from Left to Right and may always have a change in the beginning of the where the left starts and where the right releases the shot will never be consistent.

I watch Gordon Hayward shoot lights out 18 to 20 plus 3's in a row very quick release and his form did not change.
I would like Lonzo to get better mechanics. He is getting paid $ so that is your only real job so change it up. It is your profession to be the best he can be.

I think the whole team will benefit if the players buy into it.

I don't think he can change his shot now. It is really difficult, you can change some minor details, but it is virtually impossible to revamp/rework his shot from the beginning. He should shoot just when he is wide open, that's it.

Kuzma
Ingram is the dark horse in this as no one is talking about him generally so far.
It would be a great surprise to watch Ingram grow around LbJ

I would like to see luke stagger Ingram’s mins so he has an opportunity to run the team when lebron hits the bench. If that means lebron Sits down early to rest, or pull Ingram early, we will see.

I could see this as well. The one caveat is Rondo, who has little value on the offensive end without the ball. He's most likely running the second unit. Luke has PG's who are not catch and shoot guys. Rondo can finish at the rim but Ball has yet to show he can. These guys without the ball will be easy to let teams double off of them it would seem. Luke will be tested in his ability to adapt "his" offensive ideas to this new group. So many of our guys have had their success with the ball and not off the ball. Kuzma did fairly well last year off the ball and in the catch and shoot area. This is typical for younger players in the NBA. All of them were typically the leaders of their teams up to this point in their development. It takes a few years playing when you are no longer the best player to adjust. Some do (Klay) and some don't (Westbrook). Not saying our young guys are in those two's league (yet) but they are examples of guys who have played with better players and how they have reacted.... or not reacted in Westbrooks case.

Rondo is one of the smartest players in the game. If someone doubles off of him, he will find the right angle to cut to rim, and either get an easy layup or create one for someone else. He doesn't need to be a spot up shooter to do that.

Nobody is going to benefit more than Hart... LBJ loves the kid & will take him under his wing... Magic loves the kid... Hart may start at SG by December... Kid plays hard, has good b-ball IQ & plays both ends... LBJ will love Kuzz as well... Ingram, Ball & Rondo need the rock to be effective...
