Statistically Ingram is ahead of the curve to have a big year this year. Last year was such a big year for BI after an abysmal rookie campaign. He's ahead of the trajectory of fellow players like PG, Kawhi, Jimmy Butler.. all of whom started off slow and made incremental jumps in year 3 and 4... While Kuz came out firing last year - Kuz is closer to his ceiling than BI is. In five years, BI has the potential to be a top 5 player in the league. Although a good player , Kuz doesn't have that type of ceiling.. looking at the numbers, and believing my eyeballs, I think we are going to be in for a special treat this year watching BI grow.. especially with LBJ on the floor, this should free up BI for some easier looks..

Kingrahm is gonna beast. Second leading scorer, I see 20 points per game coming from him.

BI looks to take a lead in the preseason showing of the race.

Ingram with a little more strength, a little more work on his body to create fluidity with his lemgrh, and with a little better shooting could really, really be something in this league. I hope he takes that defensive sequence off the inbounds and realizes he csn be creating havoc on defense if he energized himself and plays high motor defense. Doesn’t seem in his nature, but he csn have crazy sequences like this in many games.

I remember LeBron’s first 40 point game and the crazy sequence he had at the end of it where he guards two people, deflects a pass, scores, then rotates for a rebound and goes coast to coast for sealing dunk. Ingram doesn’t have that motor or explosiveness, but his length can create similar defensive highlights at least.

Start at 3:30 Mark.

Think Zo has the chsnce to be really special. A player who couldn’t shoot at all was a plus player as a rookie becuse if his defense and court awareness, rebounding, passing.

I just don’t see Kuzma ever being anything more than a 6th man offensive spark plug.

You have to give Brandon Ingram credit, he does seem to have an elite talent - and that's driving to the basket and finishing with his length.

He doesn't look any bigger or stronger, to be honest. So there's still upside there. But he seems to be picking it up on defense. If he can get a little bit of Andrei Kirilenko in him, that would be huge. If he can just become more of a 3-point threat, keep up on defense, he's going to be one of the best young wings in the game. Jayson Tatum is ahead of him right now with a complete game, but I've got Ingram next.

Definitely downgrading Kuzma, but not giving up on him. He doesn't look comfortable out there, he's scrambling, he's hunting for shots, he's not letting the game come to him. He's obviously playing out of position, but he'll settle into his shots once the lineups are set.

But he still doesn't play defense, although that's really not all on him. He's not a center.

His correct position is to be the stretch four and guard other stretch fours. Keep that game simple for him and play to his strengths, and he can really help our team because we're still lacking consistent three-point shooting necessary for our offense. We don't have anybody to stretch the floor, create driving and passing lanes, etc. Too much of a sample size last year to give up on him.

Don't forget about Josh Hart either. An injury or trade can get Josh Hart 30 mpg, and he is killing it.

I'm starting to like Hart more than Kuzma as well.

I think you guys are a little too low on Kuzma based on a few pre season games. Kuzma has worked on lot o fnew things for his game (defense, passing more) and he's still trying to figure out how to balance it all in real games. When he figures it out he's going to look great.
