Things are coming together nicely for him individually and for him next to LeBron...

Ya definitely was a really seamless transition for him tonight. His off ball movement has surprised me. LeBron has to be thinking that he has found his next Wade/Kyrie with Ingram. A guy that can play well off the ball with him out on the court, then turn around and be a guy that can create for himself and take some of the pressure off of LeBron.

Tonight looked those games that 2nd year players have in SL when you watch them and just say, "Ya this dude is too good for SL." Tonight was one of those nights when you watched Ingram and go, "Ya big preseason minutes is beneath him now," he just toyed with every SAC defender tonight. He looked scary good tonight on both ends, especially considering the fact the dude just turned 21 last month.

Lol, Brian Cook. Here's how much I know about hoops: I actually thought for a few years he was going to turn into a pretty good player.

I kinda lost hope for him when on a team with Karl Malone and Horace Grant, you never heard one story about him trying to learn from them like you did Luke and Rush trying to learn from guys.

He had a nice pick and pop game with Kobe every now and then and got 10mil from Mitch before becoming Ariza via trade.

Wag and Svi both need reps and d league time imo. I rather have Wear and Caruso traveling with the team

That Williams guy, though. Him and McGee at C seems to be promising if used right.

As for team defense, it's funny cause I see long arms flailing trying to go for blocks. Effort's there, they just need to defend with their feet more imo.

Yes, I agree with this. Good team defense is played with your brain, your feet, your voice, your team mates. When that and rebounding is in place, steals and blocks are okay to go for.

Ingram will indeed blow up on the league this year. Great to see!

Here’s what gets me excited, which has obviously been the plan by FO to fit Luke’s switch-all defense:

Ingram can guard 1-5
LeBron can guard 2-5
Lonzo can guard 1-4
Hart can guard 1-4
Rondo can guard 1-3
KCP can guard 1-3
Stephenson can guard 2-4
McGee can guard 4-5
Kuzma can guard 3-4

To your point, if you move your feet, the above can even be improved for instance by Kuz and JMG etc.

Hard nosed defense, check. Defensive rebounding, check. Passing lane steal anticipation, check. All positions.

Lonzo, Rondo, Hart, LBJ, Ingram are all elite defenders. That could be a starting lineup. JMG is a decent defender, too.

Can that group outlet pass and run the break? Showtime 2.0! Coming to an arena near you, very soon. Rated R for running the break like a herd of 6’5” and up buffalos. Be scared. Be very scared.

6-20 from three. Ugh.

Ingram has to start taking open shots from three. I love the running for lay-ups and dunks, but when you're open coming off a pick, you gotta step into it and shoot it. Same with KCP. He passed up an open three and went to the rim and threw up an awful shot then committed a foul.

The problem is, so far, outside of Ingram and LeBron, nobody's guarding anyone... Our D has been abysmal so far this preseason...

Most troubling is, we're getting assaulted inside... We really need an athletic, physical presence inside... And I think the concept that LeBron can do that is silly... If you limit his minutes in preseason to preserve him for the season, you don't then ask him to spend his actual minutes manhandling bruisers in the paint...

I love that our guys embraced conditioning and cut weight, but we need at least one guy that can match up physically with at least the bigger 4's much less the even modern-era 5s of the league... Guys like Capella DAJ are going to feast on us this year, not to mention guys like Embiid, Davis, and LMA... We have literally no answer for those guys.

BI is gonna be a bad man this season. He looks so much stronger in his upper body--much more fluid in his movements. That is a great sign because he was already tremendously skilled--now he'll be more consistent. This team is loaded with high end talent and depth. I'm **** excited. Let's not forget how long we were down these past years. Time to soak this in--even if we knew it was coming.

Ingram and Kuzma won the game, Zubak was good and Mcgee, Beasley, Lance and KCP were solid so this was really good game where whole team looked good but Kings are work in progress so we need to wait for tougher oponnents too see how good this team is.

Its amazing, even from last season defenders were thinking like they had him stonewalled on drives and then he extends his arm a bit further and just finger rolls it in with english.

Everyone should go back and watch that series in the 4th where he was on the inbounds pass and deflected it 4 times ultimately resulting in him stealing it and getting to the line for 2... Pure comedy...

Reminded me of Inspector Gadget actually on that sequence. Bron and Rondo were eating it up

Personally....I think we have a good team. Not a great team....but a good team.

It's gonna take a minute for us to get on the same page. Young pups....and 1-year vets. Odd stew. Some different agendas to be sure.

I think we just need to stay in the pack the first 30 games or so, and then we will be fine. We just don't wanna go 12-22 or something. We wont be good enough to come back from that.

We have some work to do defensively. But again....this team needs some time. Lebron will earn his $$ this first 25-30 games this season. I look to him to keep us afloat until things get settled in. If we're within a game or 2 of .500 after 30ish games...I think we'll be in grea shape for a playoff spot.

Zubac was more engaged in this game. He showed flashes that he can be a good rim protector, he was quicker than normal. One of the better games for Zubac.
