We just wait until he hits FA - But I don't know if OP was being realistic or just saying, what if we had to choose only 1 from like next year? If being realistic then yes I would go for KL because he is FA

But if being unrealistic and saying we had a choice with out giving up anyone, then it's a No brainer in AD

If he does demand out and specifically to the Lakers, the landscape changes. We will need to beat the Celtics offer of course, but if NOP want to shed salary to quickly “replace” the loss via FA, we have KCP, Zubac, Wagner, Lance, Beasley, plus a young star to make a package out of.

I agree with the masses here, who wanted AD. AD fills the position we most need. This current roster is most "well rounded" by the signing of AD. Not even close. Kawhi - Durant might be better than AD, but they are more of the same. Klay, if nothing else, fills a semi-needed spot, and would not cost us our youth (if he leaves).

In a perfect world....I just get to pick a player, and he's ours....the answer is clearly AD based on the holes he fills for our squad.
In a realistic world, I'd prob say Klay since he'd be the clear 2-spot. Where do Durant or Kawhi play?....how does that affect Kuz and Ingram?? Klay is the least talented of the 4.....but we could get him for nothing, and he wouldnt neutralize other talent.

Kawhi, Klay, AD, Durant.......great prob to have. I'd be thrilled with either one.
