My guess is that if we're going with more depth it will be veterans. Not that I like it but this team is looking to "grow up" quickly and more development players isn't seeming like what they are looking for.

Williams is a rookie
Wear has played in the nba for several years (and even won a game or two for the lakers last year)

They litteraly just dumped a vet for a rookie

If they signed Noah, your comment makes sense. But they just cut a vet for a rookie. Your comment seems... mistimed.

Of course, another move is likely around the corner thou
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

I’ve come around on Wear. Like his game, but he’s maybe peaked already. I’ll be okay with this but on one condition. We have to have a better big (a C) than Wear on the way in. I sure hope this rookie isn’t the sole reason for waiving Wear.

Noah would be great. Dedmon, too. And there are others.

I expect a vet big man replacement. I don’t think Wagner is gonna cut it just yet, although I LOVE his competitiveness and engine and shot form. Next year...

KCP’s salary makes pretty big trades possible. If he can waive his NTC...

KCP, Zubac and Lance might land us a legit serviceable big. No picks. We scout well. Hart is almost there, and will beat out Pope for the starting role before season’s end anyway.

glad wear is gone. we need rebounding more than another wing to take up minutes. williams gives us that

Wear is a marginal NBA talent who may be a veteran but isn't truly a player any team competing for a playoff spot would be using in their rotation. Maybe I should have used veteran who was a front line player at one point in time.

This has to do with a big body to rebound and play the middle when McGee is out, period... Portland attacked the middle & co trolled the boards once McGee hit the bench...

I like the move and understand it.. we went with more depth at center than 3 pt shooting.. having Svi on the bench kind of makes wear moot.. lord knows we need as much depth at the 5 as we can get...
