Man, I love how our youngins plays. Just compete nonstop. Lonzo, Kuz, Hart deserve to start. Who would've thought they'll all mesh well with Bron.

And Lance is balling. It's like having Lou Will or JC but more bullish and a lot more crazy.

It's bugged me that walton has wanted to play other vets with bron - having what 3 other 30 + along with 34 year old bron isn't a good idea especially when most other teams are like mid 20's etc

I wonder what will happen when Ingram Rondo come back - it's time for the you guns to shine and see what they're made of

This has been mentioned by some posters about having BI and Rajon come off the bench. It's no secret Rondo is ok playing off the bench and not with Bron. Ingram could play a role similar to Iggy.

Who closes out games is up to Luke.

Honestly. If lakers didn’t beat the suns it would have been pathetic

The suns were the only easy game in the first 10
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

Proceeds to finish 7th and shames the entire nation!

Only 4 games but we're third in the league in offensive efficiency: https://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/offensive-efficiency
Also bottom of the league in defensive efficiency: https://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/opponent-points-per-game

Luke needs to get his act together and replicate last season's defense.

Your link wasn't defensive efficiency, it was opponent points (non-pace adjusted). Lakers currently 26th in defensive efficiency.

Part of the Lakers defensive struggles stem from the fact that they were getting killed on the glass earlier this season. Getting Lonzo back in the starting lineup has helped mitigate that some. Part of it is also some fluky 3 point shooting by the Spurs.

I think it’ll be hard for the Lakers to be a top third of the league defensive team again this year, but I do think they can be middle of the road, and I think their offensive explosion will continue. I’m pretty pleased with where the team is currently.
Numbers rule the universe.

Yeah my bad, the Lakers are also bottom 5 on opponent 3 point attempt rate, free throw rate and 3 point shooting %. That **** needs to stop if this team wants to get anywhere in the western conference.

opponent free throw rate is the biggest problem from the data but it could just be an anomaly as it's early in the season. However, it does reflect a lack of an inside presence and team defense, forcing the Lakers to foul guys who get past them. Lack of defensive C may also be reason they don't have trust to defend the 3-point line.

Yeh we'll see about Ingram. I'd choose King Kuz over BI only cause he better scorer :)

To be expected. Phoenix aren't good defensively and we were always going to exploit that, however i'd worried we still conceded 113 from them.

Outside that 2nd though we weren't THAT good.

Javale McGee is playing like an all star

Lonzo played his role nicely, i liked his play in this game a lot, didn't do too much but passed it, didn't force it that much on offense. He's not going to be a primary offensive option ever and that's fine, he just needs to play D, get his layups in the lane and pass the ball. If he can be our Rondo (other than, well, Rondo) i will not complain

Zubac, i don't even know what to say, like i'm at a loss for words as to his game, we cut the wrong guy, we ought to have kept Bryant and cut Zubac. Luckily Williams has started off really good.

KCP still can't shoot.

Lance though, who found a time machine and brought back the Pacers version of this guy.

Oh yeah, Hart is the perfect role player for this squad, he is playing his role brilliantly.

the defensive efficiency will even out a bit. It didn't help that we started the season playing 3 offensive juggernauts.

I don’t know why I read that as give the “pounds” some rest. Took me about 3 tries to realize it meant Lebron James lol

If Luke slides Ingram or Rondo back into the starting lineup he is an idiot... Ingram should anchor the 2nd unit with Rondo & KCP... Let Hart & Kuzz space the floor for LBJ & Ball...

Lakeshow Baby...
