12pts/6reb/9ast 62.5% shooting..
can't forget the Shaq free throw trophy

All I can say is unlike Shaq, Ingram's shot, even though they don't go in at a high enough rate, is a thing of beauty... You have to figure, sooner or later, that shot's going to start falling for him...

I swear, unlike even guys I know can hit regularly, every time Ingram shoots, it looks like it's going in to me... He's just got such a nice shooting form.

I always thought Shaq missed so much because he spent all of his time bruising and muscling his way to the rim, so it was just so different for him to have to finesse a shot in with no pressure, he couldn't do it... Like doing a bunch of weight lifting and then running to the court and shooting... Rubber arms...
It may kind of be the same thing for noodles Ingram too... For him, he's doing what shaq did and then trying to hit an unguarded shot... Maybe he's all juiced up from trying to get to the rim all night and cant settle the muscled down at the foul line...

Bottom line... In all aspects of his game, he needs to get stronger... I just don't know if that's in the cards for him or not.

Ingram also looks like one of those movies where a kid gets transported into a grownups body... He doesn't look like he understands that he's got a length advantage over just about everyone... When he extends, he's successful, when he plays like a normal person, he has trouble...

I think he needs to watch some Dr J and Clyde tapes...

We won it and we move the ball for the bulk of the game as well. Coincidence? I think not.

Our defense at the point of attack is what's been killing us. It was no different in this game. Ball and Hart can body up certain style player but they both have significant issues in space against quicker guards. It was a turnstile for anyone with the ball at the point last night. They made some stops in the paint late to help us get over the hump but we really need to figure out a way to help them on the perimeter.

To me a perfect offensive game is when you have 3 or 4 players with 5 assists. We had that last night. I'm not much of a fan of the individual assist total as a player metric however team assists are a different matter. One guy getting 10-12 assists is sometimes a counter indicator in my book. 4 guys getting 5-7 is a different thing entirely. It was good to see Ingram look up and find others. He's been handling the ball almost as much as LeBron this year and only getting a couple assists a game. He showed a little of what he could be if he'd just stop trying to be the "closer/leading scorer" for a little while.

Guys with 40+" verticals are not a good comparison. You'd have a hard time putting a text book under his feet on a typical Ingram finish at the rim in traffic.

This will be a horrible comparison on an accomplishment basis but his body and athleticism is more of a "Ice man" than a Dr J or Clyde. Even Alex English is better physical match. If he could become half the shooter of either of those guys we'd have something.
