Right now he's nothing more than a spot up shooter and he's not really good at that either. Also, his defense is bad too. And what playmayking ability? He's really bad when he puts the ball on the floor.

Tells you what some here think of Kuzma doesn't it? He was going to the bench for Svi on the previous page.....

Is this the Celtics forum? Cynicism is not mistaken for intelligent observation around here, sorry.

Kuzma, first team all rookies. Fits great next to LBJ. Worthless.

Ball, basically worthless. Not an all star by 22? Bust.

Hart? Not Rick Fox, so, garbage.

Svi? Worthless.

Do you guys watch every minute of every game like some of the people you’re discussing with here? Do you root for the Lakers or are you the modern era kreukifued and lakerfiend?

Yes, Svi can playmake surprisingly well. You would agree if you saw what I saw, there’s no denying that he’s way more than a future spot up shooter. Watch, then talk tough.

But if it makes the fifi hurt less while we wait for them to develop, call them all busts and worthless and pray it makes you cooler.

I’m gonna cheer them on while you’re impatient. Recognizing potential is not the same as being a homer. Looking for the good is not being naïve. To think being a cynical hard ass is cool is sad.

Weak sauce. I’m out for a while. Leaving you with a prediction:

Lakers will kick the queens ass tonight and Hart and Lonzo and Kuzma and Svi will lead the way.

yeah... question my dedication to the Lakers.... nice....

And.... go back a page or 2 in this thread and look who indicated that Kuzma was on his way to the bench for Svi. Hint... it wasn't me.

This reminds me of the time someone compared Ryan Kelly with Dirk Nowitzki. Good times.

Anyway, leaving a forum just because someone doesn't agree with your opinion is kinda' weak. That's why we're here, to discuss this kind of things, right? Or just because they play for the Lakers we should just close our eyes and hope that everything will be alright? It doesn't work like that. Some players are just bad or just not good enough to play in the NBA.

And yeah, I kinda watched every minute of this season, and guess what? I wake up at 5 am, maybe 4 am to do so and then leave for work.

So...I stand by what I said. Just read the thread again, it's ridiculous. And about that playmaking ability, I don't know what you saw, maybe the odd assist when he drives to the basket and the C is wide open under the basket, but most of the time whenever he puts the ball on the floor and drives to the basket that's a TO.

You forgot Ingram and he is the one who hit clutch baskets against the queens tonight.

Landsberger wrote:To me he seems overmatched physically at the NBA level when he's playing meaningful minutes. He may develop into a spot minute specialist on a really good team ala Korver but he's a liability on defense and doesn't have the ability to create his own shot at this level.

If we go for 2 or 3 superstars he could have a larger role because we would need any warm body to fill positions if we're capped out.

Let's put it this way..... he's still a long way from supplanting Kuzma in the starting line up.... .

Those that followed Svi when he just moved to the states and then played for Kansas know that he’s a player who’s confidence really affects his play (I know that can be said for a lot of players but I really think more so for him). He was touted to be a high lottery pick as a freshman at Kansas when he just turned 17 but ended up having a lesser role until he really took into his own his senior year.

IMO he has all the skills and physical tools to be a solid pro, but it will take baby steps for him to grow his confidence. His shot is pure, his handles are good, he’s fast, good athleticism. Short wingspan but don’t think that will be his downfall. Im just curious to see if he has the mentality/confidence and toughness to be good because I think that’s his roadblock

I hope so. Right now he's not able to separate off the dribble at all and he's not hitting the open jumpers in "real" minutes. In garbage time he's pumped his stats however. It's always a process for rookies. The jump in competition is enormous from any other level in the world so it's very difficult to predict the translation IMHO. I'm just going on what I'm seeing. He's having issues with the speed of the game at this level.

Most people here didn’t see in a 17 year old Bynum what he later became either. But some of us did.

Svi is 21. In his prime, I say his celing could be that of a Peja. Worst case rock bottom scenario: a tall Belinelli. I stand by that. Let’s revisit Svija in 5-6 years.
Since the 1976 merger LAL 11, CHI 6, BOS 6, SAS 5, GSW 4

PG: Luka / Vincent / Bronny
SG: Smart / Reaves / Knecht / Mañon
SF: LaRavia / Rui / Thiero
PF: Bron / Vando / Kleber
C: Ayton / Hayes / Koloko
