It looks like Walton's words had an effect.
But this new generation of players is a bit, well, underwhelming in the effort department. Not just the Lakers young core. They don't work as hard and don't play as hard.

It’s the instant gratification generation. Getting into world class conditioning isn’t something an app can do so it’s foreign to them this long term goal and effort thing.

lol i was watching Skip b on youtube and he was blasting Lonzo and BI because they didn't compare on the "every game effort" dept to "Micheal Jeffry Jordan".

I mean. That wouldn’t be good 20 years ago

I have no idea what Luke was thinking.

I think Phil convinced him to try the twin towers. Glad he ditched it soon.

That is some next level macivelian level stuff if Phil did that to get Luke fired... and then take his job

I’m not saying Phil did it to get his job. He always wanted the twin towers, wouldn’t surprise me if Phil suggested it for Luke to be the aggressor in that game, force them to adjust. He tried.

Lol, as long as LeBron is here Phil won't be the Lakers coach. Don't you all remember the "posse" comment from Phil and the aftermath of that?

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
