Bucher’s report was specifically about the Lakers reaching out to Kidd after Kidd initially reached out to them.

Bucher already backtracked on his own report. He’s pretty consistent on doing that

Just like he did for MCW! Kidd actively told our young guys not to shoot threes in a league where spacing is most important. Giannis was a respectable 35% in his rookie season, and then he wasn't allowed to shoot during crucial developmental periods. Do you really think Giannis is sitting there like, "damn, I wish Kidd was still here working with me!" Hell no. Giannis backing Kidd was nothing other than him not knowing any better.

You don't want Kidd anywhere near your franchise, he's **** awful.

Conor Mcgregor voice “who the fook is this guy?!” Sounds like the bucks experience didn’t go well.

Someone who gets triggered by the idea of Jason Kidd being an NBA head coach again while simultaneously wanting it to happen because Lebron and his cronies are everything that's wrong with the NBA. Though as fans of this franchise, if this were to happen, you'd have my sympathy.

I appreciate the input. Hopefully we don’t get him if he is that toxic.

When in doubt, blame LeBron. Seems rational.

Well... He's got a pretty long rep as a prima donna in his relationships with Coaches/Front Offices...

That said, we should have known that going in and laid some ground rules... So yeah.. Not all LeBron's fault.

I tell you what though, if we do miss out on AD given how the table was set for us, and if LeBron expresses displeasure (which would seem almost inevitable), I'm 100% in the Trade LeBron boat... And I'm building the Fire Magic and Pelinka/Clean House boat too...

I love Magic's personality and all... But he's pretty much made himself the poster child for Tampering and has clearly salted the well for the Lakers with regard to trades... Not putting a Muzzle on LeBron's camp doesn't help either.
Getting LeBron was a huge win, no question... But an argument can certainly be made that he's managed almost everything else pretty badly...

Trading Russel for a pick, letting Randle walk for nothing, the repeat offender Tampering fines, the weird fixation on Body Fat Percentages over say, Shooting Percentages in the off season, not even getting in the room with Paul George, or Kawhi, publicly and inexplicably bashing Luke 10 games into the season... Don't even get me started on the reason for this thread...
LeBron aside... It's been kind of a clown show in retrospect.

Amen...

Don't know if I would let Jason Kidd coach one season of my college hoops 2K8 legacy team let alone my NBA franchise that is trying to win a title in the next couple of seasons.

I’m not sure how good Luke is. I know Kidd is not a good coach though
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

Bucher: Kidd may coach Lakers before season's end

Just fire Luke at this point. The poor guy knows he’s getting axed. Don’t do that to him. Just let him go or demote him and see if he will be an assistant coach. I’d hate to be in his shoes right now. He knows what is going to happen. I honestly feel bad for him.

Bucks fan here, kidd almost drove us insane. Here's a short description of what to expect:

Terrible half court offense. Stagnant with a lot of iso, hardly any cutting guys, lack of ball movement. A lot of the time we use to throw the ball to monroe and let him go to work. Kris started handling the ball a lot more than giannis.

We were great in transition but that's just down to our pace and length.

Terrible half court defense. Focus on the ball handler and leaving shooters open. This still happens but at least with bud we press in areas where the ball handler is going nowhere and our pressing is effective as the ball handler's vision is blocked. With kid the ball handler was passing out of the press and it was always to the corner. I think we were the worst in corner threes.

Worst in defensive rebounding under kidd. Big reason why we lost the boston series. Kidd was gone by then but his tactics remained. The players just didn't know where to stand. Since bud and his team took over, we moved up like 30 spots lol.

Poor player time management. Here's an example. He would play giannis for 4-6 min in the 1st and sit him for 12min. He would then play him the whole 3rd and 10 min in the 4th. No wonder this time last season, giannis was gassed and had pain in the knees.

Never called timeouts when required. Here's an example. We'd be up 10, opponent would go on a 8-0 run, then he'd call a time out. Sometimes, he'd wait for our opponent to level the game or even edge in front. His thinking here is that the team will learn to eventually not give up runs lol.

Finally drawing up last min plays. This has to be seen to be believed. Just terrible.

Conclusion, worst in game coach ever. Hopefully for your sake, you don't get him. Besides i seen some laker games, mostly last season. Luke is much, much better like x 1000.
