Not gonna lie, if I was Melo and I had hopes of keeping my career alive and knowing that I don’t need the minimum salary for the rest of the season, I wouldn’t even want to sign with the Lakers. I’d rather start fresh this offseason looking for a team than sign up for this toxic environment.

That’s a blessing in disguise. The last thing this team needs is another selfish vet that’s looking for his and doesn’t defend. We’ve got too many of those as is.

Obviously Woj saw my post last night about this not being a good spot for Melo and wrote an article about it.

Losing Zubac was maybe the worst move of the season including last offseason. Not even mad, that's amazing.

Terrence Jones would have made sense, but Houston isn’t letting him go. Melo could’ve helped....possibly. But with the way the season is going, I think you should add a g league big and hope you stumble upon someone worthwhile. Adding a guy like Gortat does nothing and Knicks were never dumping DeAndre

More like neither the Lakers nor Melo think he's good enough to help us get to the playoffs.

I will be mad until we prove we can get a quality FA that needed that cap room or Muscala goes **** from 3 for the rest of the year.

Unpopular opinion but BI suffering a shoulder injury, as well as Kuz sustaining an ankle injury, might as well sign Melo.

Generates buzz. No competition for minutes to prove himself.

Win-win. Either he's effective for us to get to the PO, or he sinks the team further, improving our ping pong balls.
