Maybe the Lakers missed it. I mean, Magic would have seen it because he never worked while the President but the rest of the Lakers we're busy working at noon. Heck, even Jim Buss probably missed it while sleeping off his hangover.

Seriously though, what kind of right minded person organizes a protest at noon in LA?

I will say this though... The way the media covered this, gives you a whole lot of insight about what's going on with the Lakers right now...

I actually agree with the spirit of the protest, but it was super weak and sparsely attended... But the media covered it like throngs were beating down the doors of Staples... Ok, that may be an exaggeration, but the fact that this was even covered nationally is a joke... All the camera angles I saw were designed to make it look like there was a crowd there instead of just a handful of bros...

So anything remotely negative about the Lakers is going to get maximized beyond all reason...

And No. That doesn't vindicate the FO... It's actually a further indictment, because they're solely responsible for this situation and should have anticipated they'd be in this position.

I was in the LA area Friday & Saturday and I didn't go because it was a complete overreaction. Maybe 2-3-4 years ago it would have made more sense. I don't see what the team has done that's been so bad besides putting the wrong fit (Rondo/KCP/Stephenson/Beasley/no decent C besides McGee for the most part) around LeBron.

Plus it's hard to take a protest seriously when there' a sign that has draft LaMelo, sign LiAngelo, hire LaVar Ball as coach. :roll:
