Enjoyed reading this post.
My preference order of desirable FAs is Kawhi > Darren Collison and Malcom Brogdon > D'Lo and Ibaka
Steer clear of cuckoo Kyrie and Jimmy Butler at all costs.

Pros -
- Great P&R Ball handler.. guy's got a legit feel for it, which Lonzo's gifted ass didn't have a clue about. AD is prolly one of the best Roll guys in the league, and Lebron can't be too bad. With Bron and D'lo running it over and over, it opens up a can of worms on the offence.. AD & Lebron are 2 of the best finishers at the rim. D'lo give & go 3s. Shooters / slashers get open shots due to the defensive scramble. Sounds exciting to say the least.
- Lebron needs other ball handlers. Needed them in his prime.. needs them more now (D-Wade, Chalmers, Delly, Kyrie, Lonzo, BI)
- That 37% 3pt shooting prolly climbs up to 39-41% by just being around Lebron
- Age fits well with fading out Bron and transitioning to AD and D'lo

Cons -
- He's neutral on defense for me(like Kuz, and that becomes a bigger negative with Lebron also on court. Hopefully Vogel and Kidd can work on that.
- Hopefully he's learnt his lesson. He was a 19 year old punk back when it happened. Looks like he wants to repair the damage he did to his brand.

Minnesota to save the day?.... I really think it would be a mistake to give a Max to Russell. 20M for a year would be OK if we strike out but it looks like Minn will make it moot.

it's already been reported that dlo to the Lakers would not be a Max deal

I’d take his offense for $12 million per. If Minny wants to pay $27M for offense-only and injury prone D’Lo, let them.

His lame defense isn’t only half the game, it’s detrimental to the team in other much bigger ways. That’s why I’d say anything over $15M is stupid money.

Plus, we don’t need his skill set. We need defense more. I think it’s just fake hype from the D’Lo camp to get MIN to offer a ton. I’d be surprised if Pelinka is interested unless for dirt cheap.

DLo is headed to GSW. I had a feeling GSW would make a surprise move this off-season, recognizing KD would likely leave, but I had no idea they would get a nice young talent. Damn! That’s a killer move. I just don’t know how well he’s going to fit on their roster. Possible future trade asset?

There's not a scenario where he doesn't get dealt for a wing once Klay gets back, his agent walked him into a situation where he doesn't have control over his future when he could have gotten a max deal elsewhere.

Definitely a future trade asset for GSW. Russell really gives them nothing. It doesn't make them a competitor if a healthy Klay returns. They just needed someone to pair with Curry so they don't run their star into the ground. It's a good place for D'Lo though.

Let's see how he does with Curry running the show. He'll have to step up his shooting and off-ball game significantly and they'd better outscore their opponents because backcourts are going to feast on the Warriors next season.

Absurd trade for them, getting a max guy to be a bench player. Great for DLo in terms of money, terrible fit in terms of team though.
