I'm biased since I watched him play for us, but I kind of feel for KCP. I don't think he's as bad as he's shown by any stretch, he just cant buy a bucket atm.

He's always had consistency issues but the last two games he's been abysmal.

I could be totally wrong on this, but didn't we get that 'injury salary waive' for him? If so...I'd assume that means that we can't bring him back this year? Hopefully someone who knows the ins and outs better than me can comment, but I assume thawe cant bring him back.

Yeah I’m a bit confused too. I heard the same thing, but I’m also hearing that he is out in the court in practice taking shots and free throws

the lakers haven't used the disabled player exception yet.

i'm assuming that's what's stopping the lakers from waiving boogie for the season.

however, if boogie makes a miraculous come back (this season), then i'm not sure whether the lakers lose the exception (if it's still unused) when boogie returns

Troy daniels was out on the 3 line. 2 guys ran at em. Pump faked 1. Kcp wide open up top, had his man run over and contest. Troy didnt even look at a wide open kcp.. He just splashed 3. As if to say, bruh, im comin after your job and your minutes, you best step up yo game

Not sure why Cousins is even associated with the Lakers after the crap he's pulled. Are the Lakers going to look the other way on this? I hope we file for the injury exception and waive him quite frankly.

We should all hope that KCP has one of his best seasons ever.... because he has a freaking no trade clause and if he does get beat out for his rotation spot he'll be a $16M paper weight.

Anyway, good win against a probable playoff team. LeBron woke up, Davis was Davis, Howard had some highlights, Daniels was awesome, Green was solid, Cook was the only guy who seemed to figure out how to pass Howard the ball in a useful position for him... Maybe he can share that knowledge with the rest of the team? Defense was really good if not great.
McGee seems to have regressed back to his pre-Warriors days... Rondo's suit looks like he got it at Cabellas and it came with a free box of 12ga shells...
Our coaching staff still worries me... I still don't see the method to this madness... It seems like when it works, it's an accident.

I honestly didn't think we'd need Kuz back this bad. I really didn't think Rondo would look like a Key piece of our puzzle this early in the season...

But we got a lot of positives. We have a great group of guards, outside maybe KCP, although I don't think he's been as bad as some people (box score watchers)...

I really hope LeBron and Davis can get on the same page, and I really hope one of the Cs can figure out how to compliment them so Davis doesn't have to expend so much energy on D... But I guess we're fine. Just not nearly as fine as I thought we'd be.

i thought it's obvious that vogel wants one of lebron or davis on the floor at all times

playing them together (and having each of them playing 32-36 mpg) means that if he wants at least 1 superstar on the floor, there's going to be some 12-18 minutes a night where they won't be on the floor together

Yes, it's obvious he wants one of them on the floor at all times... But why?
Is he that afraid of what will happen when they're out? Did we do that with Shaq/Kobe? Generally good teams stagger their stars a little, but not nearly this much.

It seems like a lack of confidence IMO...
He is place holding. This is the best part of the schedule so he would be damned if they lost games early by trying to make a caruso, cook, dudley, etc feel better. The fact is if you do not have a Rondo or Kuzma out there to dictate the game and in Rondo's case run the team or in Kuzmas case get poits in bunches, Lebron and AD should not rest at the same time. It is about results.

Luke focused too much on feelings and making sure that Ingram, Ball, Hart kept they up over winning the game.

Phil could sit guys when he has a Fisher, Fox, Horry our there all of which were starters and pressure players with a guy like Shaw. HE could do that when he had Odom out there to do everything the team lacked on a night. Vogle doesn't have that on his bench without Kuz or Rondo. Ignoring that is the easiest way to get Kidd or Hollins in his seat

Just adding a thought to KCP’s contract....he is entering his prime years....and seems like the player who would be willing to waive his no trade clause if his play time were at risk. Lakers might have leverage by giving his time to someone else.

If he's not worth $8M a year here where is he worth that much? Hopefully he gets his butt in gear and earns it. If he stinks it up this year there is no way he's not opting in for next year's $8M.

I think you guys are getting your panties in a twist

KCP has always been a streaky shooter.

When the playoff race starts shaping up, there will ALWAYS be a need for more 3&D guys.

You'll be **** yourselves when the Troy Daniels and Quinn Cooks of the world are getting blown by like they're traffic cones come April

I don't worry about KCP. Call me in November when he heats up. Every year since the season start got moved up he's had horrible Octobers. Call me mid Nov when he starts playing well like clock work.

KCP needs Rondo out there. Too often he’s been put in a spot where he has to create off the dribble rather than just catch n shoot. You can’t ask him to do that and then blame him when he predictably fails at it.

I think people forget the top three assisted to guys from LEBron last year were Kuzma, MCGee, and KCP in that order.

You want to kick start KCP, put him in the starting group at the 2 next to Bradley and then let Green, Bron, and AD be the front court for some games ... Or simply be patient and run him off a second unit with Rondo and Kuzma drawing attention

It's not always the stat sheet...
We need Kuzma back.
Rondo, however, with his terrible defense? No thanks.
