This pace is new for him I think. He got a lot of his points in broken court situations over the last several years. I'm not that impressed with his back to the basket game but he's still a great paint scorer. The offense needs some tweaking to get him in his best spots.

He was also being doubled most of the game and didn't really handle it well. That might've disrupted his rhythm the whole game.

You get a much closer look at somebody's game when you see them every night, obviously. I've been surprised at how mediocre he is handling double teams. A lot of times he'll just dribble out of it past the 3-point line, which is exactly what the defense is going for barring a turnover. He's a lot like David Robinson in that he doesn't seem to have a strong foundation. Great athlete who can run the floor, hit the glass, slash and dunk, demolish lobs (his ability to catch and contort in midair is unreal), shoot a little bit, but not much of a post game or anything like that.

This is spot on. I didn't realize much of AD's flaws until he started playing for our team and I'm able to watch him more frequently. I am surprised by how limited he is in the post. He also shoots a low percentage on those fadeaway jumpshots.

I said it in the beginning of this thread, it wasn’t going to be an easy game. The Kings have been playing great basketball as of lately. Credit due.
With that said, hells yeah we’ll take the win. Clippers 3 games behind.

I like Vogel but he needs to realize he CAN'T play Rondo and Lebron together for a single minute. Just make Rajon sub Lbj than vice versa. How cant he see what we see all?

Its a long season. Lebron had 13 pts last week and got owned by Siakam, stuff happens.

KCP hit clutch shots and was great on defense. Rondo was horrible on both ends. He kills spacing and was a traffic cone on defense.

He sucks man, idk what else to say. Pretty much everyone sees it. We would be better off with Cook or Daniels out there.

Like, just look at the numbers. This is exactly what we saw last year but people chalked it up to a bad roster. Well, jump forward a year and it's the same story. He's supposed to lead the second unit because he's supposedly a playmaker, but the only place he's leading them is straight into the ground.

I was just too lazy to find the other numbers last night. I don't like plus minus as a stat either, but it matched up with the eye test last night.

We have some good pieces to surround LeBron/AD win, but they still haven't figured the offense out yet. We need a playmaker for the second unit because rondo can't be that guy.

That game was one we probably don't win without the defense. We shot too many 3's and settled for contested shots over moving the ball. Getting consistent rotations will be key. Working Rondo and Kuzma back into the mix and finding the right combinations will take some time while we're dealing with injuries. The one thing that we have going just about every night is the defense and that's carried us. Test is coming with the road trip.

I’ve been saying that. You and I have gone back and forth about AD in the past too. He’s a tremendous athlete which allows him to really stuff the box score but he’s not really a player you can run an offense through. Scores off broken plays, put backs, pick n rolls/pops but as you can see Lebron is the still the go to guy when the team needs a bucket. AD is not that guy...never has been.

None of which is to say he's not an MVP-level player, of which there are maybe 10 in the league at any given time. But it's like moving in with your girlfriend: She's still great, you just get to see all the warts in ways you probably haven't before.

It was the same process with Pau, one of my all-time favorite Lakers. I knew he was highly-skilled, but I didn't grasp just how much so until I started to watch him regularly. Likewise, I knew he wasn't exactly the second coming of Shaq, but the lack of physicality / strength (which never bothered me that much, TBH) came into much clearer focus as well.

The thing that really impresses me most with Anthony is just how many plays he blows up defensively, be it racing downcourt and making some ridiculous steal in transition or last night's rim protection. Conversely, his tendency to drift and the lack of offensive foundation can be frustrating.

Dunno...it feels like a ton of complaints around here for the team that A: Just won. B: Has best record in the NBA.

I only read 2 pages back, so maybe I missed the good stuff....but jeezus guys! That Toronto game was really disappointing...but other than that, we've been on an absolute tear. AD's been great...Lebron's been even greater. The defense is awesome, and we're coming together much faster than most anticipated. Some good wins against good teams too.

One of the things I really liked from last night, was how much Lebron works with Caruso. The 'great' Lebron has no issue dishing to the "lowly D-League Caruso" when he's slashing....and I think it's great. Lebron was supposed to be this 'aloof' super-star, and so far I just don't see it.

Anyhow...you guys wanna tear at Rondo, tear at AD's bad night, tear at Vogels rotations, KCP's streaky shooting,or whatever, go for it. It's what these chat boards are all about. Free country...and all that jazz. But we ARE #1 in the league. SMILE!!!!!!!

Just think....we're 10-2 and that's with KCP playing "first half" B-Ball. Wait till Feb, when he brings it!

You don't think they will pay him? Did you read that, or is that your feeling? I suppose it's possible they unload a bunch of guys this offseason, and try for a 20-25 mil guy. Get a 3rd guy. Seems like it would be hard to pull off though.

Bogdanovic seems like a pretty good player. I wouldn't mind Pelinka looking into that either.

They just paid Hield and Barnes a **** load of money, Corey Joseph and Dedmon are on the roster making a lot and Fox is going to be up for an extension soon. I don't think they even approached Bogdanovic over an extension in the summer when he was eligible.
