Great win. Beat the Clippers on Sunday and call it a season, start coasting/reserving our players.

I've slowly but surely been drifting away from Green & Bradley as starters, instead of KCP & Caruso, but maybe Vogel knows a thing or two about coaching.

People see the charges, but did you see how many times Bradley got back and made a guy cross over or change direction when they tried a fastbreak to give Bron, AD, Javale a better chance to get back?

Did you see how many times Green made the switch, dug down, got back to his guy, and contested shots at the rim as well as basic layups and ran full sprint whether he made or missed the shot to fill the lanes?

The played a very Fisher and Fox like game that went beyond a boxscore. They aren't the only two actually, as you can point to Kuz and Javale as well.

Kuz shot like ****, but every single time he put the ball on the floor the Bucks collapsed on him and he did what he has basically done vs the good playoff teams and he played good D as well as hit the glass.

And Javale boy he was probably out best big tonight, as we don't stay in this game with AD in foul trouble and ineffective if he does not compete how he did contesting shots, rebounding, running full sprint, cutting, tapping the ball, and those screens he set where he set the screen for Bron to attack and then instead of rolling to the basket he rolled to the shot blocker and sealed them for lanes to give Bron a better chance to dunk or lay it up like he was his personal offensive lineman

Lebron guarding Giannis was like Lebron guarding some type of very young version of himself, knowing exactly where to position himself to take away Giannis' strengths.

I rewatched the game again this morning. Bradley, Bron and Kuzma played every defensive possession at a playoff intensity. As you noted, Kuz isn't shooting well but he did the little things that no one notices. Rondo didn't have a step up game but Green finally played with some energy for a whole game as well. We won that game defensively and by forcing the action inside offensively. This game had the mark of a well thought out game plan by Vogel and the staff. We attacked, got to the line, kept the Bucks in the half court and exposed sLopez and Giannis defensively with our size and quickness inside. We basically played to every advantage we have. If Vogel and the team can do this in the playoffs we're going to be in good shape.

Giannis was cooked by 29th minute mark. Either he had a big greek dinner with his brothers or he's just not about this long minutes.

One thing I really liked from Vogel last night was calling a timeout after he takes Lebron out of the game. He did it a couple times. You can't afford to rest Lebron much in the playoffs, but doing that will add 3-4 minutes to his blow.

Their coach really hasn’t played them long minutes. They’ve cooked everyone all season but the difference to them cooking someone and the warriors for example is that Kerr kept the warriors out there so they stayed used to 32-35 a night so when the playoff come he only added 4-5mins if needed. The bucks players are all going to be playing about a quarter more and their coach ain’t prepared them for that because of sportsmanship bull

Best part of last night was Javale taking a bucks elbow to the face, as they do dirty shot when getting beat, and laughing at them

Very good point. Not just for resting, but to re-group prior to switching up the game-plan.

He does this more than anybody I can remember, certainly among Lakers players. You think he's not playing great -- and he definitely wasn't for the first 40 minutes or so -- and he still puts up 30 and 9. That's a season-high type performance from somebody like Pau.

To follow this up, how many times would you guess Pau scored 30-plus with us?

I honestly can't remember a single game he scored 30. I feel like his great games were always 22-24 PPG, 10-12 RPG, 6 APG with efficiency from the field and free throw line.

Gasol: 17 in 501 games
Davis: 18 in 53

Granted, we're playing at a much faster pace, so take that into account. But I still thought that was an interesting illustration of the different tiers they're on.

Great shoutouts bro. Much respect to all of them. Kuz, despite the failed offensive season is a =much improved overall basketball player this season.

Great win and all

But Lakers fans are overreacting a bit on this one. We lose to the same team this season before. Middleton who is a sharp shooter disappeared the whole game. Aside from Lebron, the rest of the team was not really good offensively. We still need to adjust to win this season, esp the ball movement and off ball movement.

Warm Reminder: Wear a face mask to fight the coronavirus epidemic !!! Don't really want a lakers fan suffer from this fatal illness.

But Lakers did played great defense....bec everyone was locked in against a team with 1 superstar, missing the best 3pt shooter in the league and Middleton and Bledsoe in ECF disappearing mode already.
Vogel looked good by over- relying on Lebron and AD. JVG said it too that this team is also blessed for having 3 very good wing defenders to complement 2 great shot blockers inside. Today’s game is the real test IMO

Yes, our defense was great and win us this game along with bron's super performance

I meant that we are overly relying on James and AD. Yes, we rely very heavily on Kobe and Shaq or Kobe and Pau in the old days. But be mindful, AD is injury prone according to his hostory with the pelicans and James is 35 who was injured and was out for extended time last season. Should the coaching staff make up some plan to let the others share their load a bit on the offensive end esp in the regular season. They can also see what works and what doesn't.

Warm reminder : Wear a face mask and clean your hands frequently to fight against the coronavirus epidemic!!!!
