You remember him from when the warriors went to their finals the last year? He played as did Bell, Cook, Jerebko, and Looney with KD out and Iggy banged up. Defends, knows his role, and stays ready, a true spot player but not a rotation guy. You don’t have to teach him to be a professional though, Kerr them already did that

well good because as mentioned

kblo247 wrote:The other key piece of this is that the Lakers should now be able to re-sign Markieff Morris at a 20% raises on his minimum contract, as a non-Bird free agent. That would get them up to a salary of $2,797,912 to bring Morris back, and as with Gasol above they can offer him a second year with a player option as part of the deal.

Kief was the reason to trade McGee. Now we offer more than the Clippers and Morris bros both stay in LA.

Other vet min: Boogie, Dudley and GR3. Possibly keep McKennie or add Gibson.

Damn I had you guys likely to repeat before all these moves, now it just seems like it's simply in the bag for 2021 and maybe even 2022. Lebron may end up getting 6 titles after all to match MJ. The RINGZ argument for MJ will hold no weight, and 12 finals would definitely be better than 6.

They all played in game 6 when Steph and Klay sent Harden home. And they did vs Portland too. They aren’t Fisher or Green type role guys. But they are like a Mbenga, Powell type who go be professional and ready.

Wait so does this mean Drummond's packing or there's a chance McGee will be bought out?

Also, Jordan Bell was projected to be a Draymond-lite PF that can play a small ball C. Unless they re-sign Markieff, the roster is still stacked.

I looked up Alfonzo McKinnie and he's a solid defender. If he can work on his 3 point corner shot, that would be the ideal role for him to stay in this league.

He just shot .215% from 3 last season. He's not going to miraculously shoot around 40% this season. He's going to be a benchwarmer if he stays with us.

I don't like this. We lost a lot of plays above the rim and blocks two guys that can change a lot of shots packing the paint with AD and that they win a lot of offensive rebounds, gonna miss a lot of dunks and they can run the floor. Marc is washed the only can do well it's defend guys like Embiid or Jokic. The people only remember the Playoffs but in the Regular Season Mcgee was important and he played well in a lot of games.

Thanks that we have Montrezl and he can do a lot of that stuff.

I expect an 08 Perkins type of role for Marc. Big body, enforcer type of role, with high bball IQ, better passing and some 3 point shooting. Either this is what's gonna happen or this is another Dudley or Bogut signing.

I still say we should've just kept Howard and Mcgee, safer route and proven effective. I don't think Marc even played 40 RS games last year.

I expect FO to resign Morris next.

I think Rob's plan regarding our bigs has been "Actually get guys who are playable in the playoffs". Which I agree and I respect. It would be cool to have Mcgee or Howard for the regular season though, but I understand the hard cap and why Mcgee had to be traded.

We simply still need another big though. Wish we could have kept Bell in this deal

yall overhypin wes mathews like a mf--what makes you think he is starting lmao--he is gonna fold **** with yall like fr fr--you saw how long it took kcp to get good/comfy --the whole season don't expect any of these new guys to come in and play well except for maybe gasol.. they will have to get right and they are all in competition with each other to see who can be an important piece. its a lot of pressure coming here but as long as they all keep trying and not give up then this team can excell .

sounds a lot like he's inferring Pau could be a camp retire contract situation imo. What do you think?

Thanks, JaVale! Happy trails, be well. Take care of of your goats and birds.

We’re not as thin at C as we think and Rob isn’t done yet.

PF: AD | Kuz | M Morris | Dudley
C: M Gasol | Harrell | Kostas[/color][/b]

If we add Pau or another vet we have our bigs. Kostas is ready.

In either case, whenever we truly do need the best defensive C in the league to anchor the paint to finish off a tight game, AD will slide over once in a while.

I’m with you. That’s the read. I’d maybe even bet money on it.
