Lakers are interested in signing Trevor Ariza

He could be a solid addition, he shot 40% from 3 during his stint with Portland. I would prefer another big in case marc would get hurt, but I can see why they would try to get another forward.

I think a wing defender or a third shot creator would be quite nice but Ariza is ideal if there hasn't been any significant drop off. None of our other wings have the length to contest the shots of some of the elite wings like George or Tatum.

I quiet like this for that 3&D wing. We do need a wing like that and he fits the bill (well, him and Batum do).

Is he still quick? He's good at disrupting and stealing but not sure anymore

This is a non-story story. Though we do have a spot vacancy on our roster we do not have the ability to sign anybody right now due to the hard cap.
If Ariza gets waived right now somebody else will pick him up just not us.
The only chance we got is if we pick him up after the trade deadline. Like Chick said our only chances would be slim and none and slim just left town.

I believe Cook was non guaranteed so we can cut him at any point before his guarantee date and sign someone. We can also add someone else after January.

If Ariza isn’t waived he ain’t taking a discount because he’s always been about his money so there is no point in talking this over.

If Pelinka wanted to Mackenie would be flipped andor Cook waived easy if he thought Ariza would come

If bought out, do it. Adding his IQ and demeanor alone to the bench is worth it. And he can still play, too.
