+/- is one of my favorite stats as it defines how a player makes his teams better. It takes more than ppg and one on one defense. Curry & Lebron are the leaders for the last decade, who IMPO are the class of the decade by some distance. Harden's evolution over the last couple of years is getting him in there. KD, Kawhi, Harden, Giannis, etc just 2nd tier.tamaraw08 wrote:lazybatman wrote:Chill dude.. I didn't attack you personally. I just don't like what he brings to the Lakers, and would rather have someone else who fits better. I don't think he's over paid on the new contract either. Just think he's a waste of money an d rotation minutes for this Lakers team.
Danny Green was the +/- leader last year and I thought we waited too long to trade him.
It's my opinion and I guess that's what we're all here to express. Agree to disagree and move on mate. And thank God for your sake, I'm not the Lakers' GM..
I'm not mad at you for loving him and love your posts in general.

It’s cool dude I don’t feel attacked personally but I must admit I get annoyed with the unfair bashing but then maybe you’re doing that to irk his fans who overhyped him.
You like to use a certain metric or stat to support your point but now is saying that stat is meaningless with regards to players you prefer to trade like Green?
But again, were in some interesting discussions here, thanks for being respectful
I wanted Green gone cos he was the biggest tradable salary on our books and last year's team had soooo many holes to fill. Bron, AD & Rondo went supernova mode and Clips burnt out. Could've been a lot different in a different year.
My gripe with Kuz is his inconsistencies and the occasional bonehead plays that can cost the team dearly(Jr Smith style) at crucial moments(like those fouls against Miami, or his absolute inability to guard Herro or Duncan Robinson). Besides, he's already a 25/26 year old who, most likely, won't get a lot better like we wanna see. I see his effort levels and sacrifice, but he just isn't a good fit with this team.
If we can get a Justin Holiday / Jarrett Allen / PJ kinda defensive role player for him+pieces that further solidifies our identity and locks down another title, I'll do it in a second. Youth development & picks are worth less than hot dessert sand in championship windows, which is something that Danny Ainge hopefully never figures out.
