What a great win. Team ball!!! Defense. Vogel made Nash his bee-yotch! (Nets’ defense sucks).
THT looked like a combo of Lowry and Van Vleet. Trez played defense. Dennis got into Kyrie’s head. McKinnie cleaned the glass and McLemore handed the Nets their asses. Drummond is a really good defender.
To beat the Nets, without LeBron, AD, Kuzma, Gasol? I wouldn’t have thought it.
Badass win! My favorite game this season.

I saw Schröder being a pesky defender against Kyrie, even though he had 19 in the first half, he made him work and that's all you can ask for. KD still seemed to be fragile so I'm not really putting too much into KCP's defence - even though we know he can defend, no one can defend a healthy KD. THT looked confident all game long and finally made some smart plays and head up plays by throwing those two passes in the frontcourt and getting into transition breaks. Mclemore seems to be the shooter we expected Wes to be. It'll be hard for the coaching staff to decide who gets cut once the playoffs begin and everyone's healthy, but it's a luxury problem to have at least. Drummond will have to be getting fewer post touches tho once AD gets back. He's not that efficient on the block and he's better in the pick n roll whilst also cleaning up the glass. Overall this was extremely fun to watch and I love to jinx myself claiming we'd lose.
No cuts needed so to speak unlike past year ... COVID made the nba adapt a rule in December that teams can carry 15 active guys on a roster. We just ain’t had 15 bodies![]()
But they can literally have Drummond AD Bron Kcp Dennis Kuz THT Caruso Kieff Trez Marc Wes Ben Mckinnie all active every game ... Really the wonky choice is do you keep one of your two ways active or do you leave an active spot for Dudley to dress hurt and all
I meant more so in the playoffs when rotations are shorter and you go about 9-11 deep. Some players, like McKinny, won't see the playoff floor so I'm wondering who else might be left off with us having a deep roster. It will obviously depend on the matchup. I think we all can see Gasol being unplayable during one series but much more needed if we would face a skilled big like Jokic. That was more so to what I was referring to.

I would not rule McKinnie or Ben out in a playoff spot. Last year when we were doing bad vs Portland, Vogel used JR for a brief couple minutes of defense. That could be McKinnie as long as he stays ready. Last year versus Houston Vogel put Tucker out to see what he could do in the middle of a game. That could be Ben if he stays ready. I do think Marc will be used like Dwight was, but I wouldn’t be shocked if Wes was in the rotation and taken out like Javale had happen to him.
I think Dennis KCP Bron AD Drummond are givens along with Kuz Caruso and Kief. Trez will play but have his time limited ( Drummond will be in the low 20s and him in teens I bet). I do think Tucker can be the 10th guy and some games will dictate his time. If he’s hot he stays out there, but if he’s missing assignments or turning it over he’s going to get pulled and be on that short leash pop used to keep tony and manu on early in their career.

We were and always are the better team. Both in play and in character and in fan character set. Just because we won last nite they are now calling us pansy asses. I don't think any of us even mentioned one of them.

I am so glad we didn’t include THT in any deal at the deadline, specially for Lowry

Indeed. I’ve been pointing out since last season that some experts considered THT one of the biggest steals of his draft class, that he went late only due to his injury. It’s becoming clear to me that once he’s a bit more under control and slows things down, they might very well have been right. Improve the three pointer and he’s a triple threat. Defensively, he’s catching on. Impressive game with 11 assists, some steals and a healthy amount of scoring. His length is so deceiving.
