at this point the play in is the best option for the Lakers.

You think so ? It might help them to get focused on the playoffs and get some rhythm going but there's also the chance we might get eliminated so I would have rather avoided them.

Portland might realize that they want to avoid the vaunted Clippers at the first round and decide to tank all games vs 3 great teams so they get the 7th spot.
If that doesn't happen and Lakers hold on to 7th place, they have home court vs Golden State. If Curry gets insanely hot while the Lakers get cold and lose, they have another chance to get in by beating the winner of the Memphis/SAS game at home. If they still lose that game, then, we all cry bec it's not meant to be.

True. Though Lillard wouldn’t mind going up against PG in the playoffs again. I think the Blazers want a guaranteed playoff spot.

Best thing to happen would be the clippers to lose to the 4th seed so that they battle it out w utah.
Save the suns for us, if we can get into the 6th. Which means we need to win every single game including tonite's against the Knicks. And for portland to lose two more.

Just finished watching the game on DVR. Good win by our team. Took me a while to realize how passive AD often is in head-to-head matchups with other elite bigs. Randle was clearly more aggressive and looked like the better player for much of the game. Shooting 8-23 in a game in which your team needs you the most is pretty terrible. He did make some very nice defensive plays. AD is clearly not a guy that will carry his team.

If you don't think AD carried us last night, and hasn't been carrying us since he came back, then you're not watching the games... Randle was the better individual player, but AD elevated the team more and when it counted, he shut down Randle...

My DVR is set to auto-record every single Laker game this season. I may not watch most games live, but best believe I have been watching. I'm not a casual fan who simply look at the box score. It's interesting that we watch the same games, yet often come to diametrically opposite points of view. In another thread you mentioned AD hasn't brought much of anything this season... now you're saying he has been carrying us since he's been back from injuries.

AD's net rating is an atrocious -5.5 since he's returned from injury. It seems your initial opinion was more accurate.

AD and Bron together are Dynamite. They can both run off of each other, and its unstoppable. We just need coach to find the right cohesion with the other players. For example, I like mclemore as a shooting piece, and I like trez on the box for a drive and dish piece. You must slide over and double Bron on the drive, easy dunk for Trez.
But we just need more time together for our guys to figure out spots, roles, and placement.
