Last play was designed for Monk, but it was too well defended. LeBron did well in getting the third free throw to bounce, but they had to have better luck to turn that into a basket.

The Lakers changed (standard) tactics and started to go after offensive rebounds in the second half. It was successful. Who would have imagined?

Lakers had plenty of chances again and they beat themselves again. Missed 11 free throws and lost by 2. Tough :nonono:

Just new LeBron was going to miss that FT... Absolute certainty...

Other than that, it looked like the team was in a much better place tonight... We didn't get the win, but the Warriors have been on fire this season and Klay's back... They're going to be scary any night... But we held our own and looked like we had a legit shot at beating them.

At least it wasn't the Bucks game.

Or the Blazers game.

One item in the box score stands out to me, besides the missed free throws. LeBron attempted as many shots as Westbrook and Davis put together. There were six players shooting 50% or better tonight, but he was only 33%. Once again, LeBron's attempts at dominance come at the expense of team cohesion and success. He needs to share the ball a whole lot better.

Lakers have missed 354 free throws this season, second most in the league behind Houston's 393.

And AD with just 16 points on 5-13 and 7 rebounds in 35 minutes against a team with virtually no center. Meanwhile, 19 y/o Kuminga had 18 points on 8-11 and 9 rebounds in 25 minutes. Really?

Along those lines, our offense is basically pass the ball around the 3pt line to see if we can find an open look, if we can't clear out and whoever has the ball attacks the basket... There's no 2 man game in the paint to speak of and when we try it, it usually ends in a turnover...
Why can't we get screen and rolls going with AD/LeBron, or Westbrook/AD... or AD/Westbrook? Are we saving those for the playoffs again?

In any case, it's like our attack the basket guys have no court vision... Even LeBron has been playing more bully-ball...

Which is why I think a lot of our individual stats are pretty empty... If everything is a clearout, chances are, we're pretty predictable...

As a LBJ fan, I don’t think he’s ever hit three straight free throws in a row more than 10 times in his career

Can't believe they wasted a great performance by Reaves. He's the only highlight left in this season for the Lakers.

Hopefully he is not just focusing on the all time scoring title and the 25 pt/ game ave streak?
I didn’t see the game but should we wonder why AD had 2 straight sub par games, stat wise? Is he feeling pain on his knees, ankles, achilles again after playing 9 games?

Didn't see much of the game. Sounds like they actually gave a s**t. If we compete like that the rest of the season and stay healthy, we'll win a good majority of our games. If not - season's over.
