Man....get outa here with the clipper crap. Who cares what they're doing?

As for the Knicks....give me a break. The Knicks have won 2 finals. 70 and 73....like a billion years ago. The Lakers just won their 17th title a couple years ago. The two franchises are nothing alike....except popular in their respective region.

So you think this franchise has been a magnet for the top talent over the last few years? We can't even get the top buy-out guys to call us back.

I'm not sure showing someone banners matters anymore. The modern player is interested in building a brand separate from the franchise he plays for these days. LeBron showed everyone that path. That way, when you move on your brand isn't anchored to the franchise.

Our ownership is our problem IMHO.

As for your comment on championships. The C's haven't been attracting the top talent with their championships....

I agree that we are looking a lot like the Knicks of the 90-2000's with the swing for the fences 2 or 3 max players surrounded by boarder line NBA talent. Teams that constantly are in flux etc. The championship teams of the past decade have little change in the core 5-6 players in large part. We snuck one across the line in a shortened season but I'm not sure that type of team will be successful going forward.

Awww....we're not gonna go through round 2 so soon are we?

Dude....we JUST traded for Westbrook. Like the first season isn't over....so slow your roll with the "Can't get buy-out guys to call us back" stuff....the season's not even over! And WE DID get a trade offer in the window....so calm down. And yeah....Westbrook is a $44mil dollar giant-ass mistake. Almost everyone thinks it'll be near impossible to move his arse...so if we can't it's hardly a sign that the end has come.

Not a magnet in the last few years?! We just signed Lebron! And signed (oh yeah.....traded for a guy who was forcing a trade here) Anthony Davis. I mean, COME ON....we JUST GOT 2 OF THE BIGGEST FISH!!!

And then we won a title!! HOW VERY NOT LIKE THE KNICKS!!!!

And I'm sorry, I know you know your B-Ball very well....but your straight up wrong with the championship teams being core guys stuff. Totally wrong. It's been all over the map the last decade. Heat formed a 'super team'. Spurs were a core team. Golden State was a core team. Cavs were mostly guns for hire, with Kyrie around Lebron (a trade....YOUR TECHNICALITY...not mine!). Ummm what else we got? We got Durant going to a core team...so there's a new flavor. Lakers were all guns for hire. Kawhi went to T-Town, and they signed few other guys..with a fraction of the core remaining. Last year's Bucks I assume was mostly a core (truthfully not much knowledge about the Bucks).

So, I mean, yeah man...it's all over the place. And again, we grabbed 2 of the biggest fish just a few years ago, and so haven't really been trying to sign anyone big since. AND WE WON A TITLE! . None for knicks....and none for the clippers. (who by the way, spit in your argument as well that LA can't get top talent because taxes and all that).

Jeez man....like we JUST signed Lebron and signed* Anthony, and just hoisted #17. Like we just did it. I don't know what to tell ya.

And out of curiosity.....when have the Knicks ever been 2 or 3 top talent free agents surrounded by borderline talent?

They got Melo (TRADE!!!) and I guess Stoudemire ('top guys' is a reeeaaaal stretch there) for a few years, but otherwise they have just been rubble. We're not calling Randle top talent now, are we? Serious question? I know the Knicks WANT to be what you described them as....but I don't really think they ever have. At least not since the before time.

You've made a lot of my points again so I won't go over them again... and yet again you said we signed Davis...

Good day!

Try to trade Davis and a pick to OKC for SGA.

Have Westbrook come off the bench, put LeBron at Center, go for PJ Tucker during the off-season, and then go from there.

The team is scattered and needs more structure.

We pretty much have to dump Westbrook no matter what... Even if it's a terrible deal for us, we pretty much have to do it... He's that bad a presence on this team.
You cannot have $90M tied up in 2 players who don't play D... Just can't..

WB with he big expiring contract next year.

But what team is going to want him? Only those which want to clear cap space for July 2023 free agency?

How do you send out WB's big salary without taking a lot back?

Here are the free agents for July 2023.

https://www.spotrac.com/nba/free-agents/2023/

Lakers will get a lot of salary off their books but one of the big salaries is Lebron.

So do they really clear that much space? Not going to let LBJ walk are they, unless he wants to leave?

Besides LBJ, there really aren't top 5 players there worth signing. Maybe a couple of guys in the $25 million range though.
