Man....get outa here with the clipper crap. Who cares what they're doing?
As for the Knicks....give me a break. The Knicks have won 2 finals. 70 and 73....like a billion years ago. The Lakers just won their 17th title a couple years ago. The two franchises are nothing alike....except popular in their respective region.
So you think this franchise has been a magnet for the top talent over the last few years? We can't even get the top buy-out guys to call us back.
I'm not sure showing someone banners matters anymore. The modern player is interested in building a brand separate from the franchise he plays for these days. LeBron showed everyone that path. That way, when you move on your brand isn't anchored to the franchise.
Our ownership is our problem IMHO.
As for your comment on championships. The C's haven't been attracting the top talent with their championships....
I agree that we are looking a lot like the Knicks of the 90-2000's with the swing for the fences 2 or 3 max players surrounded by boarder line NBA talent. Teams that constantly are in flux etc. The championship teams of the past decade have little change in the core 5-6 players in large part. We snuck one across the line in a shortened season but I'm not sure that type of team will be successful going forward.
