I don't think AK is consistent enough from distance.... I'd almost rather have Lamar dedicate himself to adding distance to his shooting. but really Artest it must be

I wouldn't deal Lamar in any deal unless we can get a top notch PG back. Billups is the only viable option I see out there since Detroit are looking to shake the roster up (and no, Hinrich isn't a top notch PG).

Garbajosa, when healthy is an excellent role player. If he's healthy, I'd gladly have him on the Lakers.

That wouldn't work due to Odom's salary. We'd have to take on Jackson's contract for a season, which I'd personally be fine with.

A straight-up trade of Odom for Zach Randolph. The numbers are nearly identical.

Lakers get rebounding and low-post scoring, a banger and a headcase.

New York get a fluid and versitile athlete for D'Antoni's system, a little softer but faster and a home-town guy.

Odom and Farmar?- no too much Odom for Marion is more on par

G Wallace- actually better looking numbers than Ron, but tough like Ron?? Also, he's a base year contract.

Maggette?- don't think he has the D or gritt we need. We already score plenty.

Answer: Brian Cook. :D No Jumaine Jones....

Great idea here...please shoot down if necessary

Odom for Beasely sign and trade. plus filler for salary.

lakers add youth and a big strong 3 position. who can shoot the three and score.

Am I off base ? I'm sure Pat wouldn't give up Haslem to match but maybe someone else?

are you guys truly sold on the point guard tandem? i mean you dont start an all star point guard. but id much rather have someone who can ran the offense, but also penetrate if need be. fisher and farmar are just spot up shooters imo

Beasley? Hmmm alot of questions:
Does pat Like Lamar that much?
Is Beasley going to have an immediate impact and is he tough and gritty with NBA ready D?
How can we justify the contracts?

Regarding the pg tandem... Farmar can penetrate well, but he passes like crap. I'm ok with them as long as Jordan gets a grip on passing, continues to become more consistent, and we have Sun Yue backing them up for size(mostly kidding)

pg - hinrich

sf - artest
pf - gasol or odom (whoever doesn't get traded)
c - bynum

why would we trade Gasol?

because he's too soft and his best inside move is flailing his arms hoping a foul will be called

i meant to say you dont need an all star point guard. anyways, im def feeling hinrich for the starting pg. he plays d, can shoot. phil loves tall guards. a perfect fit for the triangle. im sorry but fisher cant be the starting pg next year. i think he needs to come off the bench

why can't he, he doesn't play the normal amount of minutes other starters play because there is farmar, i think the pg situation is fine, like you said we don't need an all star- just solid players

you're basicaly as off base as you can possible get. you're off on player values, player skills, and nba trade rules. i'm sorry i'm quoting your post but if u edit out your trade and pretend it never happened i'll edit my post so no one will have to see it.
