I'll behave.

It's not the Celtics or Suns so honestly, it doesn't even matter - and truthfully those two fan bases are the only ones I'd eat the multi-day (I think that's what I'm at now) suspension for. I never beefed with the lesser-gifted children on the playground, no reason to start now.

The 76ers winning is a good thing for the league, however, I don't think we are going to have a Oden/KD situation here as I believe Simmons will end up being at the least an all-star when the dust settles.

This has got to be my favorite Ingram highlights... the first I've seen where the D and O are both emphasized with a nice flow.

According to your logic, Tim Duncan doesn't deserve any respect.

Finesse + shot = Russell
Power + speed = Randle
Length + shot = Ingram
Aggressiveness + speed = Clarkson
Defense + intangibles = Nance

I really think we go rim protector at 32.

Caris Levert reminds me a ton of Shaun Livingston, that's actually the perfect back court mate for Russell and even Ingram if you want to get your scorers free off the ball. If he is at #32, that's a pretty simple choice for me. I won't even mind using Lou to move up a few spots in the draft before one of the contenders grab him up in the late 20s.

i was pretty high on ingram initially but the more i watch him, the more he looks like a rashard lewis clone. certainly not a bust or bad player, just not a superstar.
Warspite:

Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

Dude no....
Rashard never shot from distance this clean
Rashard was in the physical defensive hands on era that does not live in todays nba
Rashard was not known for his character or work ethic
Rashard never had Ingram's handles or played his D

Rashard was pick 32 for a good reason

Ingram is longer, shoots better, has better character, plays better D, passes better... there is literally no comparison... explain that awful totally heinous comparison beyond 6'10" small forward.

Rashard is not a bad career at all. Prime Rashard was a beast in his Seattle days putting up 22/7 at 60% ts before he reinvented himself as a stretch 4 in Orlando.

You need to look at Ingram as a blank canvass that it will depend on his player development + motor on what art will be drawn into it. He has the tools to be a star in the league, it's the motor + skillset that needs to improve. It's just that maybe he's younger/rawer than most freshman that lead him to inconsistencies and inefficiencies during his freshman season.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

So Simmons is going 1, Ingram at 2 is good, better fit at least thats for sure and we've been working with him the most. Not disappointed at all

How sure are we that Sixers will select Simmons? What if this is just a smokescreen of some sort but they're really after Ingram?

The thing that excites me about Simmons is the dude sounds like he is possessed about ball. He came from a rough town but knew this was his ticket out. His dad ran a rec gym and he'd play in there until midnight. In one of these videos in this thread it was said he even missed his senior prom just to get reps in at the gym.

Get him on a team with a matured and motivated D'Angelo, plus we know the work ethic of Clarkson and Randle, and the character of Nance, mixed with Luke's positivity and this kid is gonna flourish.

Not going to lie, I'm kind of scared to hinge our future on a Duke "superstar." They don't have the best track record in the NBA.

Ingram's a lock then? I'm happy.

Brandon Ingram. I won't say "Welcome to the Lakers" yet, but I will get the mat ready.

A poster on LakersGround made a very detailed and well done video of Brandon Ingram and his fit with the Lakers as it pertains to Luke's system offensively and also how promising he is defensively. Check it out.
