In a way Ingram reminds me of Kawhi. His quiet demeanor and just quietly dominates the game. I'm so excited to see the defensive potential of this kid.

I am super excited! If the Lakers can figure out a way to get a productive player with the #32 pick they will have a tremendous core of young players to build around.

Skipping prom to get reps...that's pretty awesome. As we saw with Kobe, you can't really put a price tag on work ethic and desire. Excited to see what this kid has at the pro level.

When you draft a dude out of Duke you know there won't be many character red flags. I won't mind getting Caron Butler from Kings for Sacre or someone and let him mentor the kid.

C'mon... We know why the he skipped prom. Dude couldn't find a suit that fit. Lol

Seriously though I'll be doing the cabbage patch all day long thinking about Ingram becoming a Laker. Maybe I'll mix it up with a little Carlton Shuffle..

Or Richard Jefferson. If ever he decides to be one of Luke's assistants.

Ha, seriously. What a weird body. He makes young Kevin Durant look like Anthony Mason. I'm a little concerned about it, but Stu Jackson had some interesting comments on NBA TV last night about guys like AI and Reggie Miller who never really filled out and managed to be successful. So I'm hopeful. He's not a clear superstar in waiting, which are the guys you'd like to be taking with premium picks like this. But it's not hard to see how he could be a high-impact player in the NBA so that's encouraging. Given how weak this draft looks, this is probably the best guy we can get at No. 2 so let's see what he's got.

Kobe was about 170 when he was drafted too and Ingram is barely a year older himself compared to Kobe when he was drafted. A full year or two of strength and conditioning with an NBA diet will make him add muscle in no time for his age.

Wow, he was that light? I remember how scrawny he was, but I didn't think it was that pronounced.

Bottom line, Ingram should fill out some. You even look at pictures of LeBron as a rookie, when he was still a physical specimen, he didn't look nearly as developed as he does now.

Ingram's probably always going to have that type of body. But yes, I definitely agree that with exposure to NBA training and natural maturation he should be OK.

Exactly ^

There's no such thing as a "sure thing" but Ingram seems as worthy a player to take a gamble on as any. Plus he's likable, well spoken etc. If he can make a successful leap from college to the pros he'll represent the Lakers very well for many years. Exactly the kind of player Lakers fans have been spoiled by throughout the years.

We need to find a young center to pair up with our group of "kids"...

In today's day and age with the advances in strength training and weight lifting, Ingram will not have issues adding the mass that he needs to. It's an old-time excuse two-bit media reporters use to devalue a player.

Stein says picks 3-8, 11-16 and 19-21

Really wonder what teams are asking for these picks.

If we could somehow end up with Ingram, Hield and one of Labissiere and Poeltl without losing any Russell nor Randle, I'd be so stoked man

Russell
Hield
Ingram
Randle
Labissiere
2014: Randle / Clarkson
2015: Russell / Nance
2016: Ingram / Zubac
2017: Top 3 Pick? Fultz, Ball or Bust

I would be inclined to agree with this if we'd seen Shawn Bradley bulk up a few years back. Dude was skinny and stayed skinny!

And before you anyone goes nuts I'm not comparing Ingram to Bradley!!!

Anyone with a brain could tell you Brandon is the safer pick right now. Kid has shown special things for only being 18 years of age in the best college basketball conference this past year.

Simmons shot, defense, and question of what position he will play scares me. I've been wanting Brandon ever since March. If for some reason the Sixers broke their promise to draft simmons, then i think we would have to trade one of our kids.
