Sign Patrick Mills as your starting PG. The kid has alot of potenital. imo he can end up being a top 10 pg in the nba.

He can Shoot 3's
He is a good passer
He is good on Defence

a lot of potential wont help us next year. let's put our "we are the Lakers" thinking hats on because we don't have the patience to wait for potential.

I remember watching him and was really impressed when he played us. I wouldn't mind him at all, if he comes on the cheap.

One thing to keep in mind is if that amnesty clause comes true, there might be a free agent poop dropping of epic proportions if teams can simply wipe off players from their contracts entirely. It would be awesome.

Elton Brand may also become available. I'd sign him, then deal Lamar so we keep the big men in tact while getting good value for Lamar (Felton, #22 plus a little extra). Everyone hates on players like Elton but if they weren't overpaid they'd be well liked (3/15m).

Other options could include Stephen Jackson 8-) on a very reasonable deal with Luke Walton gone. A number of possibilities become available.

just remember that contracts don't get wiped out entirely. teams still have to pay the player the money he had left on his contract, the player's salary still counts against the salary cap. the only incentive is that the team doesn't have to pay luxury tax on the contract.

The amnesty would be awesome and while dcash is correct and stating something I think alot of people are overlooking ... we still would certainly be a team willing to throw some vet min contracts at some of these amnesty guys and maybe even half or a full MLE.

We're probably considering offering a guy like Kwame Brown a vet min contract and giving the MLE to a guy like Kenyon Martin or maybe splitting it between Martin and T-Mac ... however ... if the amnesty rule comes into play for real, we could be looking at getting an Rashard Lewis for the vet min and splitting the MLE on a Baron Davis and Elton Brand combo ... I'm geeked about the amnesty clause thing!!!!!!!!!!!

Why does everyone think Felton would be "good value" for Odom?

Because he's a very good PG, 27 years old and affordable this season. Plus no one has said Felton by himself. As far as the amnesty clause, no one has confirmed it will be like last time. It could be a complete cap wipe off (says the rumor).

One suggestion we haven't made at all would be Brandon Rush. Athletic, young defender, good BB IQ, consistent 40% three-point shot that can add some much needed youth to the starting unit, putting Artest with Odom who he plays well with.

No one has mentioned him because Brandon Rush isn't very good.

If Jaron, Brandon and Kareem could all be combined into one player ... I'd draft that guy. As for the three individual brothers ... they should 3-on-3 tourney barnstorm and that's about it.

Um, yes ... Odom is worth much, much, much more than Steve Nash.

Would you do:

Lebron, Miller, Haslem and Anthony for Andrew Bynum, Odom, Artest and Shannon Brown

Odom cannot come close to matching the sentimental feelings that PHX fans hold for Nash. In that regard Odom is worth nothing compared to Nash.

Doesn't matter what we'd do. Miami wouldn't. I seriously doubt trading LeBron has even come across their minds. And if he were on the trading block and we attempted to acquire him it would have to involve Gasol. lol at the thought of Miami trading LeBron. Just isn't going to happen.
